UPDATE: We've added a new option to the Privacy settings in GOG Profiles - from now on you can turn off your profile on GOG entirely, so no one can see any kind of information that is shown on the profile page. This also means that when you turn off your profile, you won’t be visible on your friends’ friends lists, even if they decide to keep their profiles visible.
The option to enable/disable your GOG Profile can be found in your account „Privacy & Settings” options, under „Privacy” tab.

We just introduced a new feature on GOG.COM: User Profiles – a social way to share what you and your friends are up to. See what your friends on GOG are playing, achieving, and sharing across four sections – Feed, Profile, Games and Friends.

Your Feed is the centerpiece of your Profile. Here, you’ll see which games your friends have been playing, all sorts of achievements and milestones, as well as general thoughts, screenshots, and forum activity. You can dispense your approval at whim and share your own stuff as well!

Your Profile is all about you and your gaming accomplishments. It's a summary of your activity, like the time you've spent in your games , your latest achievements (and just how rare they are among other users), as well as a glimpse at what your most active friends have been up to.

If you want to know more about your Games, you need to hit the the third tab. It contains a list of all the games you own on GOG, together with stats like time spent in-game and your progress towards unlocking the achievements. Sort the list, compare stats with your friends, and get some healthy competition going.

Finally – your Friends: get a general summary of their achievements and hours played. Here you'll also see which games are the most popular among your friends right now, so you can join them in multiplayer or find something you might enjoy yourself.

Of course, your profile comes with some sweet personalization options, choose a wallpaper from your game collection and share a few words with the world.

User Profiles are available for all GOG.COM users. Your personal gameplay stats like achievements, time played and milestones depend on GOG Galaxy, but if you’re not using the optional client you can still use the feed, post in it and interact with your friends.

Launching profiles also means adding new privacy settings on our end. You'll find three new Privacy options in your account's „Privacy & settings” area. These settings allow you to set the visibility for your profile summary, your games, your friends, etc.
So what are you waiting for? There's so much room for activities!

Jarmo: However, reading and reflecting on the reasoning and the PR spin, I now finally realize
gog.com forums is no longer a place I'll be happy hanging out in.
Don't leave GAG without showing resistance if you're unhappy with the state of things!

tinyE: Ummm, he lost the popular vote by over 3 million, but lets not get into that here. It's a gaming forum. :D

BKGaming: Why is it lefties only care about the popular vote when they lose? Both sides knew the rules going in, you don't play chess then cry when your King is taken even though you took more of your opponents game pieces off the board.
Really? I'm pretty sure 'lefties' will vote to have it changed if they get a chance, whether before or after an election or nowhere near an election at all.

Of course they would, because they will pretty much always win due to CA and NY.

No they are the most people in a ceteralized location, that don't represent all of the US. This is a pointless argument, and I'm not going to argue over it. The rules are the rules and everyone agreed to them before this thing started.

Then don't. Fact remains, it's the most people. Representation should be handled better in the US. Everyone's vote should be equal, not have more/less value because of where you live.

I also really don't care what a non US citizen thinks of our system to be honest. It's worked fine for over 200 years. The person you who would have liked to have seen lead the US lost. Get over it. It's hard to change the constitution for a reason.

It's the good old discussion of equality vs equity; it's made so that each states had the same "weight" regardless of said states population, or if you want it put differently, to prevent that peoples living in big cities to always decide for peoples living in more rural areas.

We have a similar system in Switzerland where most important voting requires the "double majority", the majority of peoples and the majority of states, resulting in times where something accepted by 70% of the population end up being rejected because 51% of states rejected it.

Honestly I don't know if this system is bad or good (usually peoples criticizing the most are the ones losing because of it) but if anything, I think all countries should do like us and stop electing their presidents. Here the president is chosen and nobodies give a damn who it is and whenever it is a women or not. (I have to admin that without googling I have no idea who is the current Swiss president :) )

Actually, probably the closest thing to get me to downvote someone not spewing insults left and right would be throwaway posts that show that the poster either didn't bother to read a single comment in the thread before congratulating GOG for their yet another "Good News Everyone!" fiasco or just doesn't care about the open issues enough to comment about them.

But as I said, while it might be the closest thing, fortunately I just sigh and move on to read the next post instead venting my frustration by downvoting anyone who doesn't immediately pledge themselves to the cause I am rooting for.

Obviously some forum goers are less averse to dish downvotes, which is yet another reason why I tend to spend at least an hour or two revising my thoughts into a few semi-coherent (and terribly long) sentences before posting anything so that others might actually have valid reasons to downvote me if they wish to do so.

Has to be under a meg in size and make sure it;s either a *.jpg or a *.png. Make sure the file extension is lower case.

Nothing else will work any longer.

edit: Can't remember if *.gif's work any longer. There's a thread here where we were testing things but Im too lazy to go looking for it today.
