More scary bugs to squash.

Hollow Knight, the charmingly morbid metroidvania of "buggy" underground ventures, just received a hefty free update. Incidentally, the game is now 34% off for the duration of our Halloween Sale.

During your travels, keep an eye out for the Nightmare Lanterns - light them up and you will summon the Grimm Troupe for a spooky major quest that entails scary boss fights, four new charms, and haunting new music. But Halloween is more than just delicious scares, it's also about making friends! Can you persuade members of the Troupe to change their evil ways and join you? That would be quite the treat.

Note: The update is currently deployed only on Windows - Mac and Linux will follow soon.
Awesome! Finally here!
This is a game I wish would show up in connect - I have it on Steam.
I'll have to search around GOG to discover all the best deals from the current sale, but Hallow Knight looks better and better.
Very tempting, but I almost wanna hold out for a 50% discount.
Hmmmm... have the offline installers been updated yet? They still say 1.1.1.8 for me.

[EDIT] Nevermind, it just updated for me. Maybe it was a cache issue on my end.

Edit: Never mind, I'm thinking of Shovel Knight. Silly me.

Here's another company that doesn't milk it's customers by releasing a multitude of DLCs, only to add miniscule features with each one of them. Thank you Team Cherry for the free update!
The update is only available for Windows so far. Is there any problem with the macOS and Linux builds?
Those devs are just great. I updated my game and I noticed that they also finally added the possibility to rebind mouse keys (and this also is working with 4th and 5th mouse key - maybe even more. Yes, I know, this is meant to be played with controller but I played it with kb+m since I did not even own a controller when I bought it and I got used to it. However I had to use a 3rd party program to rebind mouse keys and this nor is not necessary at all. This game is under $10 and this game is so big if you want to discover everything it has to offer. It just got bigger. Just buy it.

Again: thank you Team Cherry and thank you GOG for the update.

Just take a look at the newspage. They will follow.

D'oh! Serves me right for not reading news posts until the end. Sorry. :S

PS: Bravo Team Cherry, they're the best!
Happy to have a free update waiting for me today. Thanks Team Cherry and GOG.
For those on the fence, I can't recommend it enough. Even at its full price of $15, it's an absurdly good value. I'm currently sitting at 30 hours and 99% completion (don't let that last 1% fool you. It's tough). Easily one of my top games of 2017 and one of the best metroidvanias I've ever played.
