That is objectively the worst format on the planet. It's contrarian for the sake of it and does not work for alphabetical file name sorting either.

IMO: YYYY/MM/DD > DD/MM/YYYY > MM/DD/YYYY.

I prefer the yyyy-mm-dd as well, as probably most IT technicians do.

Since MS introduced "intuitive" sorting, proper file naming has become a lost art, especially when it comes to numbering.
