The purple dot strikes again..

Btw, the menu "Community->Forum Replies" gives me a "Gog bear" since months..
Sometimes I get a GOG Bear notice, I always thought it's because of server overload. I caught my first bear a long time ago when Alone in the Dark trilogy was announced during GOG live presentation.
And yes, purple dot issue still persists. Will check again in 7 days after the sale end.
i'v been victimized too, it must be a prank
oh purple dot please leave
Several warnings when opening the console.

Also, the front page with the sale appears to be rather heavy. When opened with a somewhat older tablet it just might not work properly.

In the past, in pre-covid-19 world (a couple lives ago), had it removed by GOG staff. Got back around Christmas sale.

Indeed. The page loading just hangs up for a while on my phone and heats up noticeably when loading it and I have a pretty recent one. Something is definitely wrong there.

adaliabooks: angular.element(document.body).injector().get('menuNotificationsRepository').deleteAllNotificati ons();
Never thought I'll need to use this, but GOG is always surprising these days. So a belated thank you is warranted :).
This works when GoG is glitchy again. Guess all staffers were put to use on the mega-patch for CP2077 or something.
Anyone did NOT have the purple dot back? The method proposed in this thread lasts minutes at most.

This article helped me two times since last friday. So thank you for providing that helpful solution. :-)
Never had the problem before, now twice - which is why i believe that i will win a price from gog when it occurs a third time. Therefore: fingers cross.

My only advice to affected people is: leave the purple dot for a couple of hours.
Just be amazed by how many people want to talk to you.

Clicking the clear all notifications button under the bell icon still does the trick for me. Of course, you need to wait until you have a notification. You can always ask someone to send you a PM. Also adding any game on sale to your wishlist will trigger a notification.
GOG should add that command to the community button, just as a quick and easy way to clear out all notifications. Or just give a user an option to disable them.

Well, I get this too. I have to go to the previous page, via the arrow on the top left side of my browser, click again on "Forum replies", then it works. Well, in about 98 % of all cases.

Mm.. this doesn't seem to work for me.
If I can't find a reply, I usually have to click "All forums" and manually check the sections below.

Waiting for a notification and clicking 'clear all' from the bell icon seems to be the only way I can stop this from happening lately...
