i have it permanent lee too. part of teh decor now, tbh
Today I received a new Purple Gem notification but this time there was no reply (or empty reply post) for me. I removed it through the console but in a few minutes it came back. That was the first time in my experience, I opened console and removed it again, logged out, deleted all cache/cookies from browser (even though I use it in Private mode), checked for updates and restarted.
And now I can tell that it's gone now. Maybe it will help someone else having the same problem.

I wish it were that easy, I would bribe GOG guardsmen to get an audience with curator.
Can we say that GOG team members are lazy and/or incompetent for failing to do something with this annoying bug? Just delete this forsaken forum altogether if the employees think this is just a nuisance not worthy of their time and attention.

Ugh whatever, they rather be streaming something on Twitch or shitposting on twitter and reddit rather than dealing with this forum.

Not at all. They have simply no reason to fix it.

GOG is a business. Fixing it, IMO, will not yield even a single extra purchase. Whereas streaming something on Twitch may. So their priorities seem to be in the right place.

It is annoying, but annoying is not a business reason.

I wonder what would happen if you described the problem with every detail and your subsequent frustration with it out loud in front of the mirror.

I believe you may have misread my post, if you thought that it was an apology for GOG.
If you do not want to press F12, go to console and paste the code every time there, you can make a bookmark on your bookmark bar. Name it whatever you want and for the URL, type this:

javascript:(function(){angular.element(document.body).injector().get('menuNotificationsRepository ').deleteA llNotifications();})();

If this happens again, you can just click the bookmark on your bookmark bar.

You don't need to paste the code every time. The console has a history. Just press the up arrow.

Sure, but my point was this way you do not even have to open the console, just click the bookmark. Single mouse click.

Thanks for the tip.
