I have nothing but thanks to extend, as this fix has helped me remove that damned persistent purple dot (and saved my fragile sanity) a good few times over the past few days... :)

Is there any way in Firefox to bookmark this console command? I'd like to press this bookmark with a "special link code" to put this line into console and execute it. I'm a little tired of copy-paste it every time I see the purple dot.

I already have similar thing called Tampermonkey installed as it was required by the other thing I'm using. I'm not experienced in this plugin at all but I've just created "little something" and I will see if this works. Thanks for advice.

Since a few days ago the Clear notifications button has stopped solving the purple dot issue for me. Thanks adaliabooks for the console command solution, it works like a charm.

Got it. It's hard in these supposed covid times, and even if it isn't, it's hard getting workers..and even if it isn't, it's hard getting workers to move to Poland.. and even if it isn't, it's hard getting them to move to a specific place in Poland..

I've given up using the work-around. The problem returns constantly, it's frustrating, I'd rather get used to it.

For some weird reason, after a day the dot disappears by itself.
Whenever I get a reply the dot remains fixed. But it seems to vanish after 24 hours. Weird.

Yup. Same here. The dot has built up an immunity to the command. We need a new vaccine.

LOL! I have a funny feeling this purple dot is a new variant and no vaccine can kill it, yet. I hope to be proven wrong soon! ;) Persistent little sh!t.
