Happy New Year.
Happy New Year everyone. :-)

My resolution this year is to try to be around here more often as I miss all the lovely people I used to chat with and the fun we used to have, especially during the sales.

Here's to a happy and prosperous 2017 to all of GOG's staff and forum dwellers.

Tarm: I've been plastered so many times that I've come to realise it's not enough by itself. Even partying and being plastered gets boring after a while. Been there done that too many times. So it probably wasn't as fun as you remember.

tinyE: That's when I realized i had to quit. I woke up every morning and had to get drunk to get over my hangover. This is true. :P Eventually I had to get drunk just to get sober; by that I mean I needed to get drunk just to function: stop shaking, dry heaving, get rid of the dizzy spells, being able to think/talk. Unfortunately once I got drunk to get sober, I then had to get drunk again just to get actually drunk. :D

For ten years I did that. XD
Well done tinyE. Be proud that you got out of that cycle. <3 I have a family member who has been in the same place as you were and she's sober now, too - four years and counting. :-)

As a singer, my New Year is always alcohol-free as it's a big paying work night for me and I have to drive myself home after my gigs. In fact, most of my year is sober - I only had one bottle of beer throughout 2016, when I was on holiday in Thailand in May! That's through choice rather than necessity but I don't really miss alcohol. Who needs that horrible sick feeling and pounding headache the next day?

That reminds me. I'm so hung over that I have the reactions of a sloth.
