We’ve just released a small update for GWENT on PC, Xbox One, and PS4!

The update focused on removing the Doomed tag from Slave Infantry units and changing Vreemde back to a silver epic card with the same ability, decks with this leader will be deleted. We’ve also addressed the problem with Slave Driver, who won’t be copying himself anymore.

For everyone who crafted Vreemde as a leader, we will be providing increased milling value for the next 3 days. The same goes for Sleeping Giant, who managed to slip under the refund radar with the Midwinter Update. We are sorry for this inconvenience.

Other cards such as Shilard and Eist have been changed and are working as intended, but were not mentioned in the changelog for update 0.9.19. To clarify, Shilard’s ability won’t trigger if neither player has no cards in his/her deck and Eist won’t spawn Clan Veterans since his ability is meant to spawn soldiers only and not supports.

We’ve also fixed minimum MMR for ranks 20 (4250) and 21 (4500). End of season rewards for these ranks are 10 kegs for rank 20 and 11 kegs for rank 21.

Moving forward the team will be working on a patch which will most likely come out in the following weeks.

See you on the battlefield!

The game needs a lot of balancing (and more due diligence) but it's nice to see you decided to clarify in a more precise way the upcoming development of the game.

See you in bed...
*yawn*
Yay, drm has been updated
Good work guys. Its nice to see team working. Small bugs fixing makes this game great.
Your problem is you don't balance all cards and decks correctly. When you make new cards people are creating strong decks with those cards and outplay old decks and also there are many cards that nobody plays, for example I love playing ''ambush'' but they are rather weak and I think Im the only one who plays it I didnt see anyone plays ambush. I think it would be nice if you develop the less played cards such as ambush and nerf a bit the stronger ones like nilfgaard spies, reveal(someone stole my 15 points from my revealed braenn which means 30 with his broken 1 point card :/ ) skellige axeman scoa dwarfs etc. then game will be much playable.
Thank you.

Now if you release a hotfix that removes DRM and micro-transactions from Gwent, I may actually play it!

what do you mean? that doesen't make any sense, its a multiplayer CCG, you need a connection to play, and if they remove microtransactions the game would instead need to cost a lot up-front. I don't think you understand how these games work.

We all know how these games work. Perhaps you don't know the point of this store was to provide drm free games. Something which is online only can Never be fully termed drm free as it's not within your control to do with the product as you want, f the server gets switched of your product no longer works. This should never have been released here but a sad sign of the way things are going here and with the parent companies thinking. Oh and before you mention online only is not drm, I agree it's not, its worse than drm, drm can be cracked, internet servers are totally beyond any fixing.

So you are saying Gwent should be on Steam and not GOG, gotcha. But let me guess, in your world, Gwent should never have been made because of the nature of CCG games, so that the problem with always online DRM wouldn't even come up.

What have you gotcha? Gwent should never have come to this store as it does not fit with the single one reason for the store at all, to provide drm free games. Gwent cannot be called a drm free game, others are only at the thinnest reason (armello, goblins inc etc). Maybe cyberpunk will come with denuvo here, I mean it's on steam, gotta be here regardless. And no it's nothing to do with it being made or not, it's about breaching the base point of the store.

It's 2018, and you still haven't accepted the true nature of GOG.

When it comes to DRM on GOG, some people like to ingore inconvient facts like the fact that Gwent is in beta as an online MP focused game (because it meant to be competitive and needs to be balanced / tested) and that GOG has made it clear that beta's may require certain restrictions (like being online).

They also like to ingore that GOG will very likley offer a full single player experience (which has already been said will be paid content and baring any technicaly difficulties playable offline). So Gwent in it's final form will likley be very close to every other game on GOG (meaning it will have both a single player and MP aspect). The difference being they might be listed as seperate products.

It's really not worth arguing over it with these type of people... I think it's safe to say GOG isn't going to remove Gwent, it's been very good for them. Some people just need to accept that and move on.

Considering Thronebreaker's store page I'd say it's more than very likely. Unless you mean that maybe the campaign will be short or otherwise half-assed.

Yes I know there will be some type of a single player experience but I meant in the manner of a typical single player experience found on GOG (ie full priced, full content, and offline playable). These are things we don't know fully, but enough information has been released to likley confirm that it will be a typical single player game like any other on GOG.
