I'm so desperately waiting for it because that is what the US needs, at least what the country has voted for. Okay, he is not yet in office yet, so I should be more patient, but I really wonder to which awkward argumentation Trump voter will have to resort to justify this particular move. I mean, there aren't just enough rich people there to really fill up the ranks so the majority of the supporters by far won't profit from it and I'm looking forward to hear the explanations why this will be a good move.

Regarding the vote, Clintions lead has widened in the last days, now she is leading the popular vote by about 1.5%. This is crazy, not only from an "equal elections" point of view but also from the procedural system point of view. Are they still counting? Why can't they finish counting all the votes within hours of the election? It's three weeks now.

Anyone still complaining about the electoral college is a poor study of history. The majority of just a few states could shift the election, exactly what the founding fathers feared. Do you really think it would be such a good idea to have every future presidential candidate come from just two or three states (California, New York, maybe Texas) in order to "maximize" votes? How do you think the rest of the country, or the other 47 states might feel about that? How about for every close election we recount the votes all over the country looking for voter fraud or hanging chads instead of the couple close states?

The founding fathers created this system with the founding of our country. They did it with forethought and reason so that people of all states would have a voice, not just the most populated ones. Every state is equally represented in the Senate; while the House of Representatives is represented by majority. There is one electoral vote per congressman. They are far wiser than all the poor losers who think they know what's best for everyone else, so much so, they think they should be allowed to think for everyone else.

The democratics' constructed theories are booming, lately. Articles started appearing claiming of fraud during the elections, even downright hacker activism and active meddling during voting session, "especially to areas that voted online"...

All this, while European press makes first-cover magazines on "Mr. Putin is all-powerful and makes/breaks governments in Europe and USA".

I think people are more important than states.

The argument seems to be that the rural voters will be ignored (by the way, I come from "flyover country"), so we need to essentially weight their votes to count for more than the votes from more populous states.

But if that's the method to address the concern of minorities not being represented, why stop there? Why not have black votes count for 1.5 x as much? Jewish votes?

Something tells me that proposal wouldn't fly.
