Actually my videocard only supports directx 8.1 compatible games maxium.I think i read somewhere that ground control anthology isalso a directx 7 game but i don't know since i only found 2 places mentioning that gog and steam don't mention it.

Ah, that's a shame. And I've found what you were talking about. The original version of Ground Control (I don't think it contains the DLC that the anthology here on gog does) was released for free, and it needs directx 7 or better. I also found here that the Anthology (presumably the one on gog) needs a minimum of Dx 7, but recommended Dx 9 or better. Whether or not that's true, I don't know as it doesn't say that on gog.
