/\ This.

To be honest, I'm way more excited about getting Desperados, because it's such an awesome game that I never played much of. It's by the same guys that did Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood, which is one of my favorites that I hope to see on here soon.

Hear, hear! I played a mess of Desperados when I was younger. My granddad rarely purchased games, but when he did, they were awesome (see Zork: Nemesis, Zork: Grand Inquisitor, Wolfenstein 3D, etc.).
I'd still prefer outlaws. Still, it's very unlikely we'll see Lucasarts games in the near future. If the GOG staff can prove me wrong I'll do something drastic like wear my pants upside down and post a pic as proof. In the meantime (is that spelled together?) I'd like to know if desperadoes is any good, since I never played it. I'm not a huge fan of tactic games, but I loved Bahamut Lagoon and Valkyria Chronicles.

BTw, how do the Desperados compare to the Commandos series? Does it feature the same tough-as-nails hardcore gameplay or has a more relaxed feeling to it?

I have commandos but I've not gotten round to playing them yet. Anyways Desperados can be quite tough at times, first few levels were easy enough then they get challenging, I imagine commandos would be around about the same difficulty.
I played a bunch of Desperados back in the day and enjoyed it quite a lot. It is very 'reminiscent' of Commandos, so if you've played that series you'll feel quite at home with Desperados. (think Commandos in the Old West)

One memorable moment from Desperados was a town built into the side of a cliff, with enemies climbing up from the bottom towards my guys at the top. I spent a fair amount of time trying different paths for throwing dynamite down to the baddies. Ahhh, my youth! (the path for the thrown dynamite shows up so you can plan where it lands pre-throw)

This is a day one buy for me as I've thought many times on it, and regretted not finishing it.

Who owns that one? It would be nice to have on here, I really love that series.
Whether we get Outlaws or Desperados, this will put you in the mood.

Ubisoft. It will probably come eventually, it might be too new at the moment.
