1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

You know, especially with the stink from the epic games store right now this is an absolute GOLDEN opportunity for GOG to push out some improvements and actually shine!

For one it's been YEARS with it being the top requested feature and yet galaxy is STILL windows only (even though it's a QT application..)

A cross compile, and some UI cleanup would actually make the thing worth using, I'd love to see GOG become a better competitor to steam.

I just got Pillars of Eternity 2 Obsidian edition (which comes with a season pass) in the sale and while I'm waiting for it to download I realised I couldn't tell from my library page whether I had the DLC or not. The only other GOG game I have with DLC is Witcher 3 but that's already labelled as Game of the Year edition. Pillars of Eternity 2 is just listed as Pillars of Eternity 2.

Is there anyway to tell? I'm just afraid I might impulse buy DLC I already own next time there's a big sale on.

With more and more games pre-releasing on GoG, I think it's time for Galaxy to add a nifty little feature: "Automatically install game when it releases"

The thing is, I tend to pre-order some games, then forget about their release date. If I could tell Galaxy to install the game when it releases, it could notify me when that happens. This way, it won't take me weeks until I remember: "Oh, yeah, I did preorder that one game..."

GOG Galaxy is no longer working for me. A few weeks(?) ago it stated saying "GOG GalaxyError GOG Galaxymust be run as Administrator". (Yes, the spaces are missing in the error dialog.)

At first i was able to get it to work by right clicking and doing "run as administrator", but as of today that no longer works. I tried turning on "Run as administrator" in Properties->Shortcut->Advanced, but that doesn't seem to make a difference. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling with the latest version, but still got the error.

Windows did just install some updates, so maybe that has something to do with it?

Downloading Pillars of Eternity 2 has been stuck at 100% in Galaxy for about 5 hours now. Running as adminstrator doesn't help. Restarting the computer doesn't work. Disabling antivirus doesn't work. It took three days to download and I am not going to spend another three days redownloading the whole thing on my metered connection. If it won't work I'm putting in for a refund.

Edit: Finally finished on its own overnight.

When I started the Spellforce 2 download, my ESET antivirus showed this message:

You could simply disable overlay. I did since I find chat and achievement messages annoying when I want to focus on the game.

Hey there Community, pretty simple question and let me know if I'm asking it in the wrong area. What I'd like to know is if it's possible to install GOG Galaxy to a different Drive & Directory than what it defaults to on my PC (which seems to be "C:\Program Files (x86)" ). By preference I'd like to install it to my Games Drive which is a separate SSD & Drive with it's own layout. Is that something I can do at start (Change / Set GOG Galaxy Install Path), or am I only able to migrate the installation after it installs to the default spot?

I'm using Windows 7 64 bit, Home Premium where it matters (though that'll change later). Thanks folks!

By preference I'd like to install it to my Games Drive which is a separate SSD & Drive with it's own layout. Is that something I can do at start (Change / Set GOG Galaxy Install Path), or am I only able to migrate the installation after it installs to the default spot?

I'm using Windows 7 64 bit, Home Premium where it matters (though that'll change later). Thanks folks!
Yes. In the installation menu you can select the drive and directory. Some data remains in the c drive unter ProgramData, with me about 700 MB.

My account isn't recording time that I'm putting into my games. How can this issue be fixed?

Never mind,I fixed the problem! I simply uninstalled and reinstalled GOG Galaxy.
