I'm having difficulty making settings in my new game in which I bought for gog title and the king of fighters 2002, I'm not managing to change control, having them for left-handed people and I'm right-handed, I did not see any other way to make that adjustment

AlbertCole: Whenever GOG adds a new version of a game, the old one is removed from the wishlist. Anyone else experiencing this?

It would appreciate if they could add the new version back to the list. It's super annoying when games just disappear out of the blue.
Technically, this happens, because you add the "pre order" item to your wishlist. When the game is being released, you can't buy the "pre order" version anymore, so it's being removed from your wishlist, cause the prices may vary.(so you cannot blame the store in "aggresive marketing" or something similar) I guess we have to deal with it for now.(Though it can be pain in the a $$, yeah :c)

Johny.: Also, it's possible to create a lobby - e.g. in TWAG - if you open a multiplayer session and wait for other players, your friends will see JOIN button in friends window. When they click it - it will open the game and join the lobby.
This is like the only feature on Galaxy I have never seen, even with over 100 friends. I'm guessing not many games support it currently or just not enough people using it.

I assume this would also work if the game had say a "drop in" / "drop out" MP system. Would probably be more useful in those type of games.

Since it didn't get much attention on the general forum I was advised to post it here.

I had a discussion with a friend on how GOG's status on chat was lacking compared to the one on Steam as it does not allow users to set their status themselves while one can do so on Steam.

I'm usually too lazy to log in and out of the Galaxy just to change my "online" status into "offline" (I almost don't use the web version of GOG anymore with Galaxy available).
Chances are I'll read a message if I get one, but by being "online" I may not necessarily be "free" as well, so I may not reply right away.
I don't use Facebook or other social media besides email and GOG's chat, so I thought it'd be nice if I could set my chat status myself beyond the current automated options.

As a result, I added this wish to the wishlist.
Link: https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/allow_users_to_set_their_status_on_chat

Thanks to anyone willing to have a look. :)

P.S.
If anyone wants the reference, here's the link to the original thread on the general forums:

Fairfox: either on galaxee client
or gogie website /slash/// forums
or both

can you naht mek yourself invis yet?
It should be possible.

On Galaxy go to the field with your avatar ans select "account management" and go to the "privacy" tab.
There's a field "your visibility" right above the wishlist options, tick the "now hidden" option.
I took a look around the wishlist and found several other wishes that would improve the chat greately.

Here's the list.

I think greying-out old chat messages does not help.
They only become harder to read and the user can check the send date to see their "age" anyway.

Link: https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/dont_greyout_old_chat_messages

This time it was inspired by one of the bullet points in this wish:
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/necessary_improvements_and_changes_to_make_the_current_chat_system_usable_and_userfriendly

These were not added by me, but I think they're good and ask for needed functions.

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy/changeable_chat_font_size
and
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy/enlarge_chat_writing_area_height_andor_let_us_resize_it
I'd definitely appreciate a slightly bigger font.

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy/enable_chat_for_offline_users
I'm not sure if it's possible or even logical, but it'd sure be helpful to those with an unstable Internet connection.

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy/chat_show_who_is_typing
It'd help prevent talking over each other accidentally.

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy/group_friend_chat
I've had to lead several chats at once because group chat is not an option yet and it was challenging to say the least. XD

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy/private_chat_do_not_read_our_messages
I don't think the chat is monitored, but if someone has privacy concerns, look here.

P.S. I've also updated the thread in the general forums.

Another wish I'm sure every Galaxy user wants implemented, although this time it's not about the chat.

Currently the Galaxy gives you links for the store page with all the information on the game held there, but it be nice if it could be viewed in the Galaxy itself without having to go to the game's store page every time.

Please add "Sort by size".

NatsuruNat: Please add "Sort by size".
Given that I don't know what you mean by that, I can't.

If you want to add a wish to GOG's wishlist go to the "community" tab and select "community wishlist", once there look around a bit to see if a similar wish is already there, if it isn't look for "please add your wish" (below the search bars) in either the "features" or "galaxy" tabs.

Another tip: Click the reply button if you want to notify the other person of your forum post, GOG will send them a notification that way.

I'd like to be able to sort my games list on the side bar by tags...maybe it'll open up a can of worms tho.
Hello. I'm facing a GOG Galaxy update issue for a really long time already. Every time it lunches, it takes several minutes to show me an update progress bar which get stuck on 100%. After Several more minutes it shows me an update error and finally launching.
Reinstalling fresh from the website didn't do much - everything is happening in the same way right from the first attempt to start the app.
Launching GOG Galaxy is frustrating and painful when I have to wait for 5 minutes every time I want to play a game. Can you please help me with that?

Hi everybody.

I've been on GOG for a few years by now, but never used it much.
I've installed Galaxy and downloaded Assassins creed, Another World and Sanitarium and none of the three get launched in Galaxy. (New laptop W10, Ryzen processor, 8 Gb Ram, SSD...)

Any advice?
Thanks.
