1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page

Changelog 1.1.15 (September 7th, 2016):
Changes / Improvements:

• History will now remember only the 100 most recent pages in history

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

skeletonbow: It's not possible for GOG to add achievements capabilities to video games that they do not own the copyrights to and source code of. Not in any technically sound business viable manner anyway. You will almost certainly never see GOG Galaxy achievements in any video game sold on GOG unless the developer of that game directly modifies the source code of their video game to use the Galaxy achievements API and provides an updated version of their game. It's not something added to a game externally via the Galaxy client, but rather something added internally to the game by the game developer themselves. The part of the puzzle that GOG provides is the library that implements the optional functionality the developer can choose to use, and the backend services that store the achievements one completes in their user account on GOG's servers.

If GOG ever mentioned some game would receive such a feature, they were referring to the developer of the game planning on providing that feature in the future, not GOG doing it themselves.
But that is actually the case. It's being sold with the feature listed on the store page. The list of achievements is provided on the game overview in the client. It just doesn't work. (I did understand how it functions - it's an issue with the source code that the developer has to fix.)

Are there any plans to work on the way Galaxy is updating games? It seems that it's just redownloading every file that has even slightly updated, resulting in huge update sizes. Like update a texture of a game and it's downloading the whole file with all of the textures. I'm sure you get my point.
For example, Shadow Warrior 2 has had few updates. The initial download was 14gb, first patch was around 7gb and now I'm downloading another patch that's 14gb... that's like the whole game.
There has to be a better solution for this. I can't be expected to download the games over and over after every update.

No, it probably isn't. While the wish for it is the most voted ever, it isn't marked as in progress, like the Galaxy for Linux wish is.

Maybe they're thinking about implementing it, but I don't think they're actively working on it. Also, while cloud saves are indeed nice for the players, I imagine they're rather expensive for the companies, so I don't think this should be their highest priority, right now.

Well given how all the other PC platforms (i.e., Steam, Origin, and Uplay.) offer cloud saves for many of their games, including/especially The Witcher franchise and other games available on GOG, that kinda disencentivizes buying the game on GOG.

Something that draws people to GOG is the fact that it tends to offer various extras with purchases that Steam, Origin, and Uplay don't, including downloadable soundtracks, papercraft figures, etc. But Steam, Origin, and Uplay offer cloud saves, something that helps give gamers peace of mind that a random virus or BSOD that bricks their computer doesn't render all of their progress lost to digital limbo. Most people consider that to be infinitely more worthwhile than a free digital comic book.

Cloud servers might be expensive, but in this day they are widely considered a necessity.

I would point out those services only offer Cloud Saves to games that the developers code to use their respective Cloud Saves APIs, so even on Steam it is rare for games older than a five or more years to even have cloud saves.

There is a fix for game time tracking in this release, but there's still issues with it. The problem that Galaxy games failed to track games launched from drives other than C: should already be fixed - right now we're seeing other problems. If, on your machine you can confirm that games launched from C: are tracked, and launched from another drive are not tracked - then please open a ticket at http://mantis.gog.com, because I could swear that problem went away :)

I guess we'll keep fixing the layers of bugs until we hit the ground :)
