Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

All downloads in the galaxy client fail all of a sudden. Is it just me, or is anyone else experiencing the same issue? Downloads via a browser are just fine though.

Are you getting disk access problems? If so look above for a temp fix.

I don't see the relation between the server closing the TCP/IP connection and my hard drive?

You didn't specify what was failing... 1.1.14 has a known bug where Galaxy's database becomes corrupt causing all downloads to fail when downloads are moved onto the hard drive during install.

If you are getting a server issue then it's something else.
Well I hope a patch that resolve this "bug" is released soon (Good luck GOGTeam)

It's becoming tiresome having to delete galaxy.db each time a patch fail to be applied correctly or to try to repair some of the games damaged by this bug (11 games, 7 times galaxy.db deleted today) :/

Fairfox: I keep getting 'Failed: Server problem' on every Galaxy download,

Edz 2: Meh, reinstalled teh new version fixed it.
I too am getting the "Failed: Server problem" on all download attempts. Reinstalled Galaxy and the problem still exists for me.

It's not just you. I've been unable to download anything with Galaxy 1.1.14 either. I've backed off to a special version of 1.1.13 and it no longer can download properly either so I gave up as it sounds like they're aware of the issue and working on a fix for it. I downloaded all of the files through Firefox instead for now.

I'm having a gut feeling that when 1.1.15 comes out presumably to fix it, it's going to require uninstalling Galaxy, wiping the ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy folder, wiping the prior installation folder, doing a fresh install, then manually reimporting a few dozen games that do not get autodetected. :o/

It wouldn't be so bad if they'd update the installers of ALL games to be Galaxy compatible so it would just automatically pick them up on reinstall.

Alas, such is the life of us beta testers... goin' and takin' one for the team and all... :oP
At least I'm not the only one with this issue.
Hope gog will fix it soon. But it's still beta software and that's how it goes some times.

Yup, I'd bet money it is their highest priority at the moment. They'll likely have a new build out pronto for a breaker bug like this. On the upside though we have 2 alternative methods to download so we've got some padding anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if they push out an update tomorrow or the next day even though.

Hey,

could you send us logs and zipped C:\ProgramData\gog.com\Galaxy\storage folder to galaxy-client-support@gog.com or create an issue www.mantis.gog.com? We'll greatly appreciate it and surely help us resolve this issue much faster. Thanks for advance and sorry for inconvenience.

I have created an issue at http://mantis.gog.com (note the correct link) for my "Failed: server problem" issue and attached my logs and the storage folder to the ticket. Issue No.: 4560.

BTW - having reinstalled Galaxy to try and resolve my downloads problem, my list of installed games is now empty despite changing my settings to point to where the installed games are located. How do I get my installed games listed in Galaxy again?

I'm also having the server problem message as well. Not sure where I'd get my logs, though. Thank God the GOG.com Downloader still works. Gonna do the reinstall thing myself, hope that works.

Hey, you can use the "Scan and Import Folder" option accessible from Galaxy logo menu in top left area of Galaxy to get your installed games listed in Galaxy again.

As to your issue on mantis. It seems there is a bug if "Temporary game download folder" in Galaxy settings is the same as "Download backups & goodies to" location then the extras download won't work... We'll tackle the issue in the next release of Galaxy as well.

TomaszGOG: snip
Question: If your using the beta channel and have an beta patch being used... will Galaxy automatically switch you back to default if a newer patch than the beta build is released or when the beta patch is pushed to default.

Seems like right now you have to manually switch back and if you don't you risk being left behind (patch wise) if no more beta patches are released. I can see this becoming an issue for sure.

Also there a bug with private channels... it takes way to long for it to show up and there is no indication if you entered a successful password or not. So a user can easily think it's not working.

Hey,

We have just released new version (1.1.15) of Galaxy on Preview. It contains the bug fix to the "Disk access problem" and should handle recent database corruptions problem, which happened while game updates, installation and imports.
It also contains improvements to Verify/Repair functionality to be more reliable and less prone to failure, even when database contains faulty data.

Unfortunately this does not help with extras download "Server Problem", which i described above in this post:

https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gog_galaxy_beta_2/post4979

The reason why it's on preview and not fully released is because we want to be sure that this helps and that there are no more other problems before the full release, which will happen soon.

If there are any more troubles, please don't hesitate to post them on www.mantis.gog.com

As to OS X users, if you may wonder why there's no preview update for you, it's simply, because those problems should not occur on OS X (You lucky you) and we don't want you to unnecessary download data :)

Thanks,
best wishes

Galaxy team

This post will be pinned until the next fully release.
