== BUG REPORTING ==

Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

Galaxy bug: Achievements in The Witcher Adventure Game are broken.

Preface: I do not personally care about achievements really, just looking for and pointing out bugs I find as a part of general beta testing of both Galaxy and the games.

Problem: I just completed and won a 5 quest game of The Witcher Adventure Game. Inside the game you can view your achievements and to date I have unlocked 13 of them (although not by purposefully trying - see "Preface" above), however inside the Galaxy client immediately after exiting the game normally, only 10 of the achievements are unlocked. I waited 5 minutes or so in case it is just slow to sync or something but nothing changed. I clicked on "Library" twice to force a library reload as if that might do something perhaps randomly that would force Galaxy to wake up and get to work. No go. I cleanly exited Galaxy client (which is updated to today's current release non-preview) and then restarted it and went to the game's page again - still only 10 achievements showing up.

I've had this problem with The Witcher 3 also last year, which still does not show all of the achievements properly despite patches that claim to fix it all. Something is definitely awry in Galaxy achievementland. :)

Suggestion: Where it says "Achievements" - replace the text with "Achievements (beta)". :)

I Have same problem. Divinity: Original sin can`t find gog galaxy servers
I'm constantly having to re-download a file because of fails, why doesn't this program allow to continue where it left off?.
I'm wasting bandwidth by having to start over all the time, the old client worked perfectly and even verified downloads afterwards. I've tried downloading Rune Gold 5 times now, it get's close to completing, then fails.

It continues when it gets interrupted and doesnt download everything again. Could it be your Antivirus Software does interfere and check while its still downloading and so it hangs? Just disable while downloading and try again.

The thing is, the file is in "C:\GalaxyClient\Games\!Downloads\temp" but it won't continue where it left off. I'll try disabling AVG Free Anti-Virus and see if it fixes the problem like you suggested.
I disabled AVG Free and launched GOG Galaxy, I attempted to download a backup copy of Rune Gold and it downloaded completely this time!. I was having trouble downloading "Blood: One Unit Whole Blood" as well, but it worked this time also.

I'm not sure why it doesn't allow you to continue if it file fails though. Like I said, the failed downloads are in the temp folder and they are the same file size as when they failed.

Edit: Thank you Hohiro!. :D

Achievements not working in A Boy And His Blob, hugged the blob 5 times and the achievement won't pop.
I checked the wishlist and the ability to Pause a download is shown to have been added on a previous version but I only see a Abort option with my download. Am I overlooking something???

EDIT: ugh! I found the Pause option. What a bloody pixel hunt. Anymore hidden features I should know about? *rollseyes*

EDIT2: Download finished and it was "Installing" (which probably just translates to moving to another folder) and I had a power outage for 5 seconds. Rebooted my puter and its going to download the 10gigs all over again.
Is there any real reason to use this thing at this point?

Hugo trilogy needs to have separate launchers for each game. Right now Only Hugo 1 has a launcher.

Worse even, to launch Hugo 2 and 3 you actually need to do it manually via scummvm, since there are not even shortcuts available in the folder. Took me a minute to realise this. I'm sure others who are not familiar with scummvm might be left scratching their heads.
galaxy keeps crashing on starting any game, GOG fix this crap... Looking at bug reports this is a common issue where plenty have it... its been happening for more than a month already.
Witcher 3 achievements broken. Finished Blood and Wine 3 times and no ending achievements. Also missing Wild Rose Dethroned achievement although I have cleared everything needed at least 4 times in different ways suggested. I can't start NG+ at this time, since I'm missing Death March achievement. Currently no mods and verified W3 install as well.

Edit: GOG Galaxy version 1.1.11 (beta). I got my last achievements '2 days ago'. I see that ver. 1.1.11 was released on the 7th. I'm pretty sure I got an update around the time my achievements stopped working.

Achievements are just broken completely I believe rather than being a game specific problem. Every game that has achievements that I've played launched through Galaxy so far I've gotten in-game achievements at one point in time or another that never registered with Galaxy. Filed bug reports about them and so far pretty much no feedback or resolution about the issues other than CDPR claiming to have fixed some achievement related bugs in TW3, but while some of them did sort out after applying patches I still have achievements I've gotten in game such as "Munchkin" for achieving character level 35, which are not unlocked in Galaxy as well as others.

In The Witcher Adventure Game currently I've unlocked 14 achievements according to the in-game achievement display, but Galaxy only shows that I've got 10 achievements to date.

There's no indication of whether this is a bug in the individual games, or a bug in the common framework that is supposed to register them with the Galaxy service, but I suspect since it appears to happen with all games, that it is Galaxy centric bugs.

What's unclear is why it is taking so long to find and fix these bugs. Is it because they haven't received enough high quality information from those who are experiencing the issues to have enough to investigate? Is it a bug prioritization issue? Manpower issue? Reproduction issue? Unclear, but definitely an ongoing and common and unresolved bug since achievements first were launched.

I don't personally care much about achievements myself, but I know others do so I want to do what I can to report and engage to try to help see the problems fixed sooner rather than later.
