Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

I paid $40 for Divinity OS Enhanced Edition. I have messed around with various ways to get it to run on my computer. Installing using GoG Galaxy. Using the old downloader for Windows. None of it works. I've Googled posts from people with the same problems. I'm sick of this. I want my money back. I've never had a problem with you guys before. I'm tired of dealing with it.

Wrong thread for that. Go here https://www.gog.com/support/contact and they'll try to fix it for you, refunding if all else fails.
Feature request: I know it's early to ask this of a software that's "in beta", but it'd be useful if you could enter your system specs into the client (or better, it could scan your system itself) and it could then advise you on how over/under your are for each game's recommended and minimum specs. That way you cut down on dissatisfied customers that inadvertently bought games they can't play, your client has a unique feature that sets it apart from the crowd, and consumers benefit from the information being made easier to understand since otherwise they have to check their specs every time (not the PCMR types, of course, but there are a lot of more casual users that would appreciate knowing what they can run quickly and easily),
Is it me, of did some games just added archievements?

Ys: Origins, Ys: The Oath in Felghana and Tesla Effect just had does added. Was there any announcement?

I'm wondering if this is a change in Galaxy, or the games themselves.

Very strange. None of these games are listed under Features: Achievements in either my library or the GOG store, and yet if I go to their page, it says "No achievements unlocked yet" and hitting "Show All" causes the entire prompt to vanish. Maybe the devs are testing achievements right now, leading to this strange situation?

I'd love to see achievements for all of them, of course, but especially the Ys games, since I've been wanting to get around to them for a while now and achievements might just bump me into getting the rest.

For what it's worth, I don't think there will be an announcement of them getting achievements at this stage, since I don't believe it's ever happened before (when I was looking at Features: Achievements, I was honestly quite surprised by some of the titles!). The achievement system is still so very rough, I don't think we'll see "New Games with Achievements!" on the forums or site until Galaxy is more refined - and especially not until it provides the options to turn achievements off.

Even stranger. the archievements in both Ys games appear fine. Those in Tesla Effect do disappear when I click on "Show all".

That is odd, I'm glad you checked! I did indeed only check out Tesla Effect.
Hey guys I've been away from GOG for a while... just loaded it up, it asked to update, I did. Now the app doesn't at all work. It crashes everytime I try to load it. Is there issues with Windows 10?
I have a slight issue where I'm trying to get Galaxy to use a different shortcuts for a couple of games. I've tried editing the goggame info files to redirect Galaxy to the shortcuts I want it to use. This worked for Quake to use Quakespasm, but it does not work for Freespace 2 to use Freespace 2 Open. Any ideas why?

If you updated a previous Windows installation to WIndows 10 then your best bet would be to uninstall Galaxy completely, download the latest version from the Galaxy site, and reinstall.

Even if you didn't update to Windows 10 you still might have better results just uninstalling, redownloading the latest version of Galaxy, and reinstalling :)

skonvolt: Please include in the game description if there is a native support for controller and which kind
Well games now include "Controller Support:" under features on the store page. Doesn't specify which kind, but I would assume 360 controller is the target controller since it's arguably the most used controller on PC.
Interesting, because I did just this the other day (uninstall, then reinstall). Still doesn't work. Crashes repeatedly. Anyone?

No error pop-up, I suppose? A lot of people had trouble with a version of Galaxy from a few months ago where they needed to install Visual Studio 2010 and 2012 in both x32 and x64 bit versions, maybe try that even if you're not getting a pop-up?
It would be really nice if we could change the target executable, or add command lines, to the game shortcuts in Galaxy.
avatar
Liosan: Sorry for that folks - I guess this needs more than a single word of explanation.

As to the delay in releasing a new version of Galaxy Client - for now I can only say that we needed to revisit a crucial piece of our codebase to allow for better user experience and more games on GOG in the future. It means no Galaxy Client releases for at least a couple of weeks, but the end effect should be worth it. We'll get back to regular bug-fixing and feature-adding after that.

As for not posting any changelogs about the updates you noticed - well, Galaxy is more than the Galaxy Client. It's also the multiplayer components, achievements, in-game overlay etc - those parts are being updated regularly. We usually release everything at the same time - the client components, the multiplayer ones, the whole thing. Since Galaxy Client is not being released, some releases of the other components where not properly announced, no changelog entry was added, the version number was not increased etc. We'll try to improve on that. For now - I'm updating the changelog in the first post.

Liosan
A few weeks seems to have turned into a few months now... can we possibly get another update on the progress or what going on now. I'm all for taking whatever time is needed to get a good client update, but it wouldn't kill GOG to keep us little more informed.

Thanks.
