Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

Just bought and started playing Stronghold Crusader 2... and my play time is not updating in Galaxy. It stays at 0.
Another update but it's still 1.1.5.

It's like the third update in a week but it's the same version

Hey guys, for some reason i can't install the game via galaxy. for the past few days, it just says "SERVER PROBLEM". Other games installs just fine, it's only with TW3.

Anyone is having the same problem?

Thanks for the answer, I was wondering what was happening too.

Game time tracking currently only works if you're online (game launched via Galaxy, and the client is in online mode when you quit the game). The total time spent in the game is saved and updated within a minute after you finish playing. In future updates we will add full offline support for game time tracking, as well as updates in real time.

When the Galaxy Client exits beta and game-time tracking becomes optional, will there be a method/process/option to clear all the collected data?

A bit related too, are there plans to have the option to reset Achievement progress as well?

Venom,

With all due respect, I've been a Galaxy user since alpha which I think you should be aware of by now, so I know how it works. But I know it's hard to remember everyone you talk to here. xD

Anyway, of course I was online. The time did not update. Tried more than once. Pretty sure it's not the only game that has this issue, and I believe I've mentioned it before. I had achievements unlock but not time added.

-BKG

EDIT: After multiple tries again it finally did start updating. Weird. I was online when I played this morning, so I'm not sure why it wasn't updating then. Let's see if it keeps updating though.

EDIT 2: And now it's back to not updating. Clearly it's not working right, seems to be a hit or a miss if it updates or not.

Download installers with Galaxy is a crap!

If I download huge installers with the GOG-Downloader:
1. the download starts immediately
2. the download speed is fast
3. the download process is stable
4. the cpu needs low ressources

If I download huge installers with GOG-Galaxy
1. the download starts with large delays (for 10 GB I have to wait 2 minutes before the download starts!)
2. the download speed seems slow
3. the download process is unstable, Galaxy hangs some times
4. the cpu needs high ressources

I hope the GOG-Downloader will continue to be available...

I agree to ALL those points.

I also have another question/annoyment. I used GOG downloader to download Unmechanical Extended. Then I started Galaxy and it loaded an additional 160MB. Why on earth? I want to have an archived backup copy because I DON'T want to load content down again and again. Is it not possible to build ONE installer which ALSO works with Galaxy WITHOUT having to load additional content?
Once again a new cool sales promo is upon us! Once again the prices shown for certain games randomly change from one page load to the next every so often, sometimes showing Canadian price in USD, other times the American price in USD, and of course my favourite is when it shows the same game twice on the page at the same time with one price being the Canadian USD price and the other the American USD price. Awesome!

Most people are probably unlikely to notice the problem unless they pay close enough attention, and it might only be affecting Canadian customers for all I know. As I've said previously in this thread and a few others in the forums, the problem happens with Galaxy, Fierfox and Chrome all updated to the latest versions constantly, and happens while logged into GOG and logging out and clearing cache and cookies has no effect on it. Likewise creating a new browser profile with no addons has no effect (proving it isn't a browser addon screwing things up) - but I knew that anyway because it happens directly in Galaxy client also which has no plugins.

So, prices randomly fluctuate from page load to page load, and it has nothing to do with geolocation because my IP address never changes ever and I only have one. I hypothesized previously perhaps it was an IPv6 related issue but I've eliminated that by disabling IPv6 entirely and testing and getting the same results.

Conclusion: Broken GOG website source code incorrectly displaying prices randomly. Perhaps it is on one server out of a bunch behind a load balancer or some other oddity. Whatever the technical case may be though, myself and at least 5 other people here in Ontario are experiencing the problem. My credit card has switched to no_more_purchases mode until this problem is fixed as there's no way to know if the right price is being charged at this point so I'm refraining until I have confidence in the site pricing again.

Just dropping another note about it here as nobody else seems to be talking about it (whether they're noticing it or not). For those who are unsure, visit the GOG homepage in Firefox and Chrome and Galaxy all at once and you may see different prices between the three for The Witcher 3 and its expansion (or various other games also, but this one always fluctuates). Reload the pages in all 3 apps and do so many times, wait for it to load and look at the price. I randomly get either $9.99 or $7.99 for The Witcher 3 expansion regular price, or when it is on sale like it is right now it randomly changes between $7.19 and $7.99. Like I said above if there is more than one ad on the storefront for the game at the same time as often happens in promos, or in the "bestseller list" at the bottom right, the prices shown may be different from each other.

The chances that me and 5 other friends spread around Ontario are the only 5 people globally encountering this seems very unlikely. More likely is that people either aren't noticing it, don't know what to do to try to reproduce it, or are experiencing it but not commenting about it.

I've sent a new note to GOG support privately just prior to this post to bring them up to date as well, and if anyone else is encountering this I'd encourage them to contact GOG support also because I'm not convinced that they acknowledge the problem exists (although I posted screenshots in another forum thread showing 2 different prices on-screen for one game simultaneously).

Anyhow, hopefully someone comes back from vacation or whatever and looks into this soon as there's a big sale on now and the holiday sale is coming and I wont be buying any games until this problem is acknowledged and fixed even if I end up missing out. It's getting pretty frustrating at this point.

I've tested SC2 today multiple times and wasn't able to replicate the issue. We've also already logged hundreds of hours of play time for SC2, so the issue does not seem to be specific for the game. In general the game time tracking mechanism is not game specific. If you could send me your Galaxy logs than I will take a look, maybe the time tracking persistence operation failed or timed out on the network level. If so, we'll try to trace it on our backend.

Okay so when I stopped playing last night, I believe it was around 30 min played. I waited a good 5 min or more and the time never updated when I quit. Logged in this morning and the time was over 50 min. So I'm wondering if it is updating but taking an extremely long time for the client to update the time. Not sure, but I generated some fresh logs. Time when started was 56 min. Played for about 5 min or more, and then quit. Time was still at 56 min after waiting another 5 or more min for Galaxy to update it.

http://mantis.gog.com/view.php?id=3724

EDIT: That seems to be the issue, left Galaxy open and probably 10 min later it finally updated the time. Seems to be taking a long time for it to update. Which is not typical, usually it updates right after I leave the game. Takes no more than a min, or less.

So it it updating, just not very quickly. And since I only leave Galaxy open when I play a game, I must be closing it before it gets a chance to update since it's taking a good 5-10 min to do so.

Hi there,

I’m really sorry to hear you have troubles using our platform and understand your irritation, especially since the issues are connected to prices. I know it’s not a big consolation, but rest assured that the problem is not a widespread thing (to my knowledge we had few reports about it so far).

Unfortunately we didn’t have any luck with repro of the issues you are talking about, which makes it hard to debug, but nevertheless we will try to help you and solve it one way or another. We will need a bit more info from you though.

1. Please monitor contents of the gog_lc cookie every time you see the prices change. For you it should always be CA_USD_en.
2. Try adding different parameters to the url (like for example gog.com/?=1; gog.com/?=2) and see if each time you enter the page with new parameter you get the same price. Currently the correct price for Hearts of Stone i Canada is $7.99 before discount, and $7.19 after the discount.
3. Check the prices on the checkout screen. After you enter the checkout screen you should see the same prices as on the frontpage. Please select PayPal as you payment option, click on the „pay for your order now” and tell me what happened - if you were redirected to PayPal or the checkout screen refreshed and prices changed for you.
4. If you didn’t already try using incognito window in Chrome, private browsing in Firefox or equivalent of these in other browsers.
5. Tell me if the problem is connected to each and every game on GOG.com? Or to some specific titles? List every game you stumble upon having this issue.

Again sorry to hear about your issues, and let’s hope we can resolve them together. :)

Take care!
