Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

Hello, Support

So I tried to play The Witcher 3 since there is a new patch.
But as my Galaxy Client starts on PC Startup it instantly crashes and I can't use it, I tried reinstalling the client but it hasn't changed anything, I hope the support could help me with this because I would like to use the Client.

Thanks.

PS: I know I can download the patch from the GoG website and play the game from there but I wanted to use the Client.

Fomalhaut30: Please forgive me if this has been asked and answered, but I have a question.

I've got The Witcher 1 installed from the files on the site and the version numbers match. When I go to import the folder into Galaxy, it tries to redownload the entire 13gb worth of files. I'm on a very slow connection, so the idea that I have to redownload that amount (plus the 22gb for Witcher 2 and however big W3 is when I finally get it installed off of the discs) is not settling very well with me. Is this working as intended or is there some way around having to get the entire game again?

It's been doing this with other games that are also up to date already as well.
If you're on a slow connection, I'd strongly recommend downloading the game installers/patches/extras manually either through Galaxy, GOG Downloader or the website directly instead of installing via Galaxy, as Galaxy currently downloads the expanded archive of the game already installed without any compression and that uses significantly more bandwidth than the compressed archives do, and it can also re-download things under certain circumstances. If you are bandwidth strapped it can really use up your bandwidth. It's best to download manually, install and import into Galaxy instead for now until they're able to implement compression on the server side and delta updating at which point Galaxy installs and updates should be much more optimized and save bandwidth.

Hope this helps.

While this is true, importing could save him much more as someone who is also on a limited connection. He already has the files and I imagine his issue is the folder name which is an easy fix for the Witcher 1 and Witcher 2. This should only make the Witcher 1/2 download a few hundred MB when importing in Galaxy vs the GB's to re-download via the site.

Suggestion to add dates to the stickied changelogs. For example,

GOG Galaxy 1.0.6.31: (Windows) (7-20-15)

The games are installed in the default named directory, except for the fact that I changed which drive they are installed to. Otherwise, the names are as the installers set them up as. Witcher 1 is installed to /The Witcher Enhanced Edition Director's Cut and Witcher 2 is installed to /The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition.

Galaxy is also currently in the middle of redownloading Wasteland 2, with Xenonauts on deck.

If it helps, the client also states that rather than Updating W1 & 2, it lists it as Installing W1 & 2. Witcher 1's manual installers match the version number of the ones on the site, but I was mistaken on 2's. W2's are slightly out of date, but since there is no patch file available to download manually, I'd have to redownload the entire game.
well so far with this new update i still havent been able to unlock achievements on Witcher 3 u_u which sucks but not the end of the world, but this gave me some questions, since i didn't download the game through galaxy (did it from the site and download it in parts) is it possible for it to being the reason why i can't unlock them?

If you run game outside of the client then no wonder why you missing them, as Galaxy features are optional and enabled only when running from it's library/installed games list when game is imported here.

no i mean that i downloaded the game separately from gog.com but when i play i do use galaxy i just added the game to the library
Then it's something with the game or saves, you could re-download the game from client, some people have smiliar problem as yours but no clear explanation for this.
odd, but I couldn't auto update Galaxy. I uninstalled and re-downloaded Galaxy and that worked.
Is there a way to tell galaxy to install from local content instead of hopping online, i have allready downloaded my library to a local hard drive ???
Guys whats up with this. When you open Galaxy its white until you click on it. Its like it's not refreshing without any input inside what render system its using. I had that on Windows 10 blamed it but it turned out on Windows 8 machine too I don't remember seeing this before.

Good idea, however I'd suggest the ISO 8601 International Date and Time Format as that is the universal international standard for encoding the date:

YYYY-MM-DD

This is incorrect information. You can launch The Witcher 3 without Galaxy client and achievements still work fine. I launch GOG Witcher 3 from the Steam client by having Steam launch witcher3.exe directly and achievements work just fine. There are bugs in the achievement system which causes some to not register but it has nothing to do with whether Galaxy client was used to launch the game.

The achievements will only get stored on GOG's servers when the client is connected, but that doesn't stop the games from setting achievements offline whether initiated by Galaxy client or some other method.

ohjay: Is there a way to tell galaxy to install from local content instead of hopping online, i have allready downloaded my library to a local hard drive ???
You can run your locally downloaded installers manually and then import the installed games into Galaxy as long as the game installers you have locally are up to date or at least are new enough that they've been made Galaxy-aware. If they are older backups 9+ months old then they may not import correctly. Galaxy will still attempt to synchronize the game with the current version stored on GOG's servers if/when it goes online though, which may end up re-downloading the entire game if a newer version is available than what your backup installer is so be aware of that. Galaxy can not directly install games from the manually downloaded installers however, you have to do that part yourself for now at least.

Im getting tired of this client, it just keeps corrupting its downloads and keeps resetting its progress. For past 4 days it keeps trying to update witcher 3 to 1.07 downloads 7.6 fails to update and continues the whole process again.

At this moment i would just like to know if this issue can be fixed or not, if not let me know so i can get rid of this terrible client.

It doesnt help that my game is already patched to 1.07 manually via gog but the client keeps failing to recognise that game is already updated.

Same happen to me last day. Downloaded 2GB 1.07 update via GOG Downloader and installed but after that Galaxy tried to download it again but this time it says around 900MB required files ready to download so I'm confused about that. I think they didn't manage anything about this issue. Only way is if you decided to use manual update you should keep auto update feature turned off forever under the game configure section in Galaxy or you must only wait to update your game with auto update feature.
