1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

So just spent almost 4 hours downloading the last 20mb of a file from GoG Galaxy.
The download upto the 6.58 gb of te file was downloaded in 1.5 megabytes per second.

The last 20mb went at 0 - 0.1 MB/sec and has passed 4 hours at this point with 5 mb still remaining.
Fun times.

You are using BETA software, so threatening to never buy a game from GOG again is stupid. You are not forced to use Galaxy to play your game.

Having said that this should help. It's a known issue.

i dont mind downloading asnd updating my games through Galaxy but does it have to hijack all my shortcuts so games can only be ran using Galaxy? Id rather not have Galaxy running all the time.
also does Galaxy remove mods? Ive read complaints about it.

Just a note for those who have been sharing opinions that games aren't getting updated outside of Galaxy, I just got a notification that IL2 Sturmovik 1946 was updated today through the website and GOG Downloader. Interestingly enough GOG Galaxy does not show there being an update for this game. I think this is a conspiracy for GOG to force everyone to use the website or GOG Downloader to download all updates. </samelogicconspiracy>

Hopefully they can come up with a better solution for the way shortcuts work so that people can play games with or without Galaxy regardless of how the games were installed, but for now it looks like you need to edit the shortcut.

Galaxy synchronizes the installed game to match the game on GOG's servers, this way it knows your installation is up to date and not corrupted. Since many game mods actually modify a game's actual executables or other files and there's no way for Galaxy to know this, any form of updating of the game will generally break such mods as it will consider the files to be either corrupted or otherwise out of date. There's no way to distinguish between "intentionally modified" and "unintentionally modified or corrupted".

If you use mods that modify a game's actual files instead of just supplementing the game with a new subdir or files, then you should disable auto-updates and never update the game. This is true not only on GOG (whether you use Galaxy or manually download updates) but on Steam or any other service. It's also true in 1997 using CDROMs or floppy disks.
LOL so I set up Galaxy to download & install on D:
All games that Galaxy downloads it downloads to my ssd first C: and then moves it to D:

This is complete garbage.

It's garbage because you can't figure out how to change a setting? Really now... try looking at the gear icon in the bottom left.

I changed it already, but this trashy garbage software still downloads all games to my ssd and then moves them to my storage drive. If you had a brain cell you would test this out and see that its a problem. But nooooooo, that's too much work.

Fine be an asshat, or you could do something productive then and report the issue on mantis. Instead no we complain about a damn issue when we are using BETA software that we don't even have to use. Your being an idiot. If you want working software then wait until full release.

I've not had one issue with Galaxy not downloading where I've told it to nor have I seen anyone else claim to have that issue. So either A) It's a newer issue or one that doesn't effect everyone or B) your to dumb to figure it out or C) your trying to troll and cause issues. You seem to be good at this.

EDIT:

By the way what happen to being done with GOG anyway? Still here it looks like? I guess this tells me just the kind of person I'm dealing with. Good luck, personally I hope you don't get it to work.

How much space do you have? TW3 needs 35 GB I believe. Also make sure it's downloading the the correct hard-drive an not a secondary one or one different than the one you want to use.
Can someone help me? I uninstalled GOG Galaxy and now after re-installing it won't run. What do I have to do?
