Foxhack: It was also a relative failure for Square. It didn't make a lot of money on consoles - the game was clearanced very quickly - but Square refuses to lower the price on PCs. They still sell it for $40 two years after its release.
And in the US the boxed copy is very hard to get a hold of too, meaning Steam is basically the only option.

lackoo1111: What's so special about Last Remnant, ?

Luisfius: It's a strange jRPG thing that is unofficially part of the SaGA series, or somesuch, and supposedly the PC version is better than the console ones. I think it is some sort of JRPG/RTS hybrid. Also, it costs 40 bucks.

In any case, I bet the next one will be the new Tomb Raider game, one Squenix title and the rest pure Eidos haahahaha.
Nooooooo. I played the Lara Croft game. I thought it was okay put the play control was really annoying. Why doesn't she rotate her body in the direction of the aiming reticule? It would make jumping and movement so much better. All tomb raider games should go on sale tomorrow if they choose that squeenix franchise like they did today where both K&L games were 75% off. Ditto Hitman from yesterday.

It doesn't really matter anyway; the boxed copy requires Steam.

Yes, but the point is you could get a cheaper boxed copy if it was a common item. I often get Steamworks games for much cheaper prices on amazon and similar sites than what Steam has them listed for.

Yeah. If the game didn't require Steam then maybe we could get cheaper used copies. :(

I've gotten it in a past (weekend I believe) Steam sale for about 7.5 bucks - it will show up again.

If we're still talking about Last Remnant I think I payed £8 for it about 2 months after its UK release. Do you want me to keep an eye out for a physical copy going cheap and give you the steam key?

All those UK shops I got links to won't ship to NZ so I'm dick out of luck on the game as well. But to be quite honest, when I played the demo, the battles were a bit bland and looked as if they were mostly playing themselves.

After having sat through the first twelve Final Fantasies and a few other Square Enix similar titles, I've kinda matured past their games.

It's kinda like being a comic collector as a kid, eventually you just realize it isn't practical to break sweat and pay collector's prices for glamy stuff when there are so many other games available.
Copies ive found are about £12 - £14 (18 - 20 usd)

Well, yeah, in the UK where they're giving them away free in your box of Fruit Loops. lol

Lol! Seriously man. UK has all the copies. I think US had them for a short time but sold out and went discontinued.

Merchants won't allow the PC version into NZ because I think they're trying to keep it XBox exclusive here to push up sales on the XBox.

Kid's shit anyway. I've left hunting gaming rarities on eBay, consoles and console gaming in the past. If a company doesn't want to sell their game I'm not going to bend over backwards to kiss their butts to get it anymore.

I'd take that as a compliment. It's sort of true. The Daily Mail newspaper essentially gave away the entire series of World at War for free in 2007. I wish we had that here.
People in Brazil get free, legit full games in their gaming magazines all the time. You never see that stuff in other countries. :|
