GameRager: use a uk proxy then, and log onto that site and download.
Bear in mind that D2D now lock accounts to the region they were made in. Thus it is not always possible to buy games from them if the version they are selling is not available in your region. And that still holds true even when you use a proxy.

chautemoc: Reminder: big discounts on Blood Bowl LE, AI War series on Impulse
http://www.impulsedriven.com/impulsebuys

The Guardians of Graxia bundle is also down a few bucks to $10..not sure how it is.

All available worldwide.
I have it, it's a good game, earlier releases had a nasty crash bug but I think it has been fixed now and I'm still waiting for GamersGate to get the expansion because that is where I purchased the base game from.

No you dastardly New Zealand EB Games, you! I will not purchase that copy of said game that may not even work for $130 from the snarky, spoiled and pretentious clerk behind the counter of your shop.

I shall change all proxies until I can rightfully get a digital version for $3 and not even have to leave my house and risk smelling people, get the cold shoulder from females and have to witness the angry and scorned looks on the elderly shoppers.

StingingVelvet: I got a coupon code in my email today for the EA Store... you get a bundle deal of Dead Space 2, Bulletstorm and Crysis 2 all for $120. It's buy 2 get 1 free at the full $60 price basically.

Not sure if it is unique or not, but if anyone wants the code let me know. It's useless to me as I buy physical copies.
I'd like some games please, send to bob629581 at yahoo dot com.

GameRager: That can't be true though as I bought Ceville off of D2D UK site for UK price of 2.50 pounds(4-5 dollars) and it went through, and I didn't use a proxy.
It certainly is true. Ceville, however, is available world wide (excluding Germany). So naturally, you could buy it. MMOs however, tend to be sold for specific regions on D2D, so even if sold on the US site (in your region), buying from the UK or EU sites may not be possible -- especially as they verify certain information for those purchases).

And if the game is out right not available in your region, you pretty much can't buy it.
avatar
GameRager: The game is/was more on d2d us site though and I bought it for UK price on uk site no problem.
D2D aren't checking whether you're paying more or less based on the region of your account, they are only checking whether the game is available in your region for that D2D site. If it is, the sale goes through. If not, it no longer will.

StingingVelvet: Buying cheap keys from nations with much different pricing structures is the same thing as swapping price tags at Walmart and trying to dupe an ignorant cashier.
avatar
Delixe: It's not that at all and you know it. Customers have always had the right to walk away but these days they dont have that option. This is the price you pay. Where ever you go this is the price you pay. Except thats not true is it? We have Ubisoft and Stardock milking every last penny. Only in the games industry is someone allowed to make something that is worth twice it's worth in Europe.
Don't forget about that we have to pay VAT after every purchase . Good for the people in the US , they don't have to pay more after the same game .

carnival73: But really it's a no brainer as to why people are going digi more so than hard copy nowadays.

As an owner of Railworks, I have to say that's a really stupid pack. Very few people are actually going to want all the DLC. What they should have done, is split it up into several packs catering for the different tastes (Steam locomotives, diesel/electric, passenger, freight, etc.)

I'm sure more people would be far more interested in such packs than in the whole bloody lot.

Even if they offered a bit less of a discount as a result, that's still a much better idea for all concerned.
