Me too. I haven't seen Chronicles of Riddick yet, but apparently I should keep it that way.

Well, the movie ain't THAT bad, but it's like having Commando be the sequel to Alien.

Seriously though, Chronicles of Riddick IS pretty cool. I just think everyone overyhyped it and expected it to be.... I don't know.

Personally, I thought it was a FUN movie to watch. If you don't take it seriously, it's awesome. I mean, fuck, it's Vin Diesel. He has his own unique brand of kick ass one liners and he pulls them off if you let yourself be in the right mindset.

Just my 2c.

Well, I DO like Commando a lot. But the point is that Pitch Black is a whole different thing than Chronicles of Riddick. I think the games and the animation did better jobs as follow ups to Pitch Black.

Given the 80s action movie approach to the sequel it's not a million miles away from being the case either. :P Okay, so I actually liked Aliens, but equally I understand why H R Giger didn't.

But yeah, you do make it sound like they missed the point spectacularly.
