If you're using the default online mode, then Steam is authenticating your game every time you run it. So right now, the UBI DRM for AC2 is the same as Steam's online mode.

Haha poorly worded, then. When looking at both systems, Steam is more flexible as it has an offline mode, where Ubi's does not.

$13.41 here. And it's BS price hikes like that which keep me away from Impulse. That and their BS excuses that's the publisher setting the regional price. Sorry, but if that were true, we'd see the same price on Steam and GamersGate (but no, both of those are consistently cheaper and have comparable prices with a difference of 4 cents, if any).

Interestingly, Steam have just added an "Upgrade to AC2 Deluxe" item for $4.99. Wish other games with SE and DE/CE versions would now offer the same upgrade path...
