mchack: aah, but the fun that is region blocking doesn't end there: as far as I read somewhere on the internet, if you somehow get a region locked gift/key that you can't redeem in your own country, but then say travel to the destined country, that the key/gift is for, you can redeem it fine of course, but the game is then blocked/greyed out of your library when you get back again. :/
A story was circulating around the time that Steam enabled regional gifting restrictions for low-price territories and it went as thus (or at least a bit like that, can't be arsed for details/accuracy right now);
A Ukrainian Steam user who had bought Skyrim in his country, travelled abroad to live in the USA. Upon opening Steam there, he discovered that Skyrim was nowhere to be seen in his library. What's more, he was unable to purchase the game, because his Steam account insisted that it was already in his library, even though it was nowhere to be seen. Eventually, he contacted support and after a bit of back and forth, they deleted his Ukrainian Skyrim copy, so he could rebuy it (and be able to actually play it again).
