Depends on what you like from strategy games. I'm a big fan of the Ageod titles. Unity of Command is also easy to get into and are on sale super cheap.

Personally, I'd recommend the Alea Jacta Est series, along with Unity of Command, Civil War II, and the Panzer Corps series. Gary Grigsby games are fun but they are very deep and technical (not to mention expensive).

Seems to be mostly up to 50% off (of whats on sale - there does not seem to be a holiday sale page as far as i could see. have to look through each category)
