Apologies if it's been mentioned. Soldak's upcoming new game, Zombasite, is available direct from the dev for $14.99 ($5 off) - it doesn't seem to include a steam key, but does have a one-time serial activation on install. It's currently in beta.

If you liked any of Soldak's other games, this is a can't miss. I've always found the sheer amount of randomness in their games to be astounding, considering how small the team is.

Also, there appears to be a 10 cent sale for the next 10 days if you've upgraded to Win10. I can't tell you what's on sale, because I'm using WIn 7, but the sale is directly through MS.

They posted about it a month ago on their blog. I was reminded of it just today and made the post here to remind others. If it was mentioned in an email it was probably buried under a bunch of other games promo stuff. This is the sort of thing that should have a notice on the store page, but won't because it's better for them if people forget about it and their credit expires. Like store gift cards having an expiry date, because there's a percentage of people who forget about them and don't use them.

One that really caught my eye was Planetary Annihilation for $1 USD (or your regionally-priced equivalent). If you didn't BTA in the Humble Indie Bundle 15, (I didn't, because I owned too many of the BTA games) then this could be a good buy.

(It's not PA:Titans...but hey, the original PA is still fun to play. Right? Right...?)

But as a gift because it appears to be a drm lite download (win, mac +linux) + a steam key and I'm only interested in the steam key

So since I don't want the drm lite version (apparently offline one time key activation) to rot on a shelf I won't even visit (had to create a shiny loot account to buy it) if anyone's interested in the game and promises to send me the steam key in return, I'll send you the gift code via pm.

Regarding the game's DRM-lite status, it's nothing more than a serial that you must input each time you install the game. Think of it like the serials in Blizzard's old games (Diablo 2, Warcraft 3, Starcraft). You can backup both the game's installer and the serial and it works like any other offline backup.

I would be happy to take the drm-lite version off of your hands. :)
