This is the lack of monitoring and quality control on Greenlight which gives anyone free reign to do whatever they want and peddle any garbage game while Valve idly stands by counting the money.
Sometimes the devs/publishers (such as with Doom & Destiny) reconsider and backpedal their backpeddling :) Regardless it adds a smear to their name and causes them far more harm than good.

Its good that some see the error of there ways but thats very hard when the reputation is tarnished and trust has to be rebuilt. Also maybe you can help out GOG with the PR as they always tend to aggravate people with seemingly Good News™ now and then. :)
