BlackThorny: I'm not sure if this is considered piracy - I think not, but I warn anyway - but you can circuvement this by downloading - then moving steam to offline mode, and moving the system date back to the date of the free weekend, starting steam offline, playing, closing steam offline, changing the sytem date back to normal... rinse & repeat.
It won't update and you will have to remain without socialities for a while, but it should be enough to let you check the game when you have the time
Wonderful advice and smart thinking. It reminds me of hex editing games when I was younger to see how I could manipulate them. Fun times :)

Errrrr, considering that Chivalry Medieval Warfare is a multiplayer game what good is it to play it with Steam offline? Don't remember if there is some bots but playing the game just for that? Eh...
But the game is really good, i don't play it because my laptop sucks and it's just unfair to play that game vs people with better framerate, i still hope that they port that game to ps4 (the ps3/x360 port is so dumb...).
