Tropico 4 Collector's is 85% off on Steam. 4.19euros here. I think it's a pretty good deal because it includes ALL DLCs for a change.

Artoemius: If I understand this correctly, it means that Desura is more evil than Steam and probably even Origin. Thanks for the info!

Grargar: The client warns you that you will lose those games if you uninstall it. I tried it a while ago when Cubicity was offered for free and when I uninstalled the client, Cubicity was nowhere to be seen on my account, neither did it come back when I reinstalled the client.
I had an idea of installing the desura client on a computer I never use, download (or at least start) all free and 100% off games, then just delete all file libraries other then the clients. I wonder if that will enable accessing all of these on my account on the site and won't force me to re download all once I install the client on my actual system.

Yeah, it is a good deal. Even though I already have Zeno Clash 2 and the three Tropico base games, I picked it up yesterday because otherwise I was going to spend $1.99 on the Tropico 3: Absolute Power DLC (the only part of the trilogy I was missing -- and yes it did feel sacrilegious to just throw away the rest of that Tropico key).

For someone who doesn't have any of the Tropico games and is remotely interested in the genre, though, it's practically a crime to pass up the complete original trilogy for $2.99! And despite being low-budget, Hard Reset Extended Edition looks like a decent Serious Sam-type arcade shooter with reasonably good reviews..

Don't know about Zeno Clash 2, but I thought the first was pretty good. And while the rest of the games are a little more mixed, none really seem like complete shovelware like a lot of bundles lately.

Despite not typically being a huge fan of non-Humble bundles, Bundle Stars is starting to grow on me. Rather than tons of low-production-value Greenlight games they have the type of stuff you used to find on the bargain software shelf at OfficeMax or some other retailer -- often not worth it but sometimes you would come across a classic for cheap, like Age of Empires 1 + 2 + Expansions or Rollercoaster Tycoon or something. :)

Yeah, that kind of summarizes my feelings towards Bundlestars also. I gravitate towards AA and AAA games from bigger studios moreso than indie games, and while there are many fantastic indie games out there and I have enjoyed a number of them too, it is the bigger name games that catch my attention and interest more often, as well as games that appear to have more polish and bigger budget design teams (big studios or indies), and Bundlestars seems to get more bigger budget or higher polished type games than many of the other bundle sites. The games offered in Indie Royale bundles for example just never seem to interest me at all, although I always check them all out just in case there is a gem that surprises me or something.

I've ended up with 18 bundles from Bundlestars in the last year, and when they launch a new bundle I get a bit excited hoping it has something fresh that's up my alley, whereas when the other bundle sites launch a new bundle my gut feeling is that it'll probably be a combination of new Steam greenlight indies plus repeats of games that have been in bundles 8 times already.

Depends on the particular type of games one is personally interested in and other factors of course which of the sites is likely to appeal more to someone, but Bundlestars consistently seems to make bundles with offers I find hard to refuse. :)

The $1 tier seems to have both MP3 and FLAC. Not sure about the rest.
Thanks for the heads up!Seriously considering getting one of the Sherlock Holmes titles,I'd buy it here except I like the notion of supporting URC.

More free Desura games (edit: they might always be free, but I saw them featured on a deal site today, so dunno):
http://www.desura.com/games/shattered-hourglass
http://www.desura.com/games/perdytacks
http://www.desura.com/games/villagers-and-heroes
http://www.desura.com/games/halloween-otome

I've also found that if a game is free you can usually click "Install game" on the top right and then "download direct" on the pop-up that appears to get access to the DRM-free installers without having to install the Desura client or even have a Desura account. They may not show up in your Desura games list, but at least they can't take them away if you uninstall your client. :)

Those are usually announced in the Free games thread

Thanks for the info! :) The way it was framed it seemed to me at first that the games were free only temporarily and that thread looked like it was only for long-term free games, but after noticing that they don't have any prices they're being discounted from, it does look like they're just permanently free games being featured after all.
