It's discounted on steam while in Early Access (40% off), and it looks like it has the potential to be awesome. Discounted price is still a bit high, so I'm trying to get a feel for it first... discount should remain in place for about another month, so I've got plenty of time for Let's Plays and Steam forum chat, but I'd really appreciate any input any of you folks may have!

Awesome, just got it. Thanks so much for the heads up guys. The daily deal was half-tempting but I had just gone back and re-played the non-HD version less than a year ago so I felt like I could wait for more of a price drop. Now I can play in HD and try the Forgotten expansion for only two and a half bucks. :D

This game appears to be offered with or without the special cable to connect a guitar but what I've wondered is does it /require/ the Ubisoft cable or will it work with any digital audio interface one happens to have on their computer? I have a Boss GT-Pro effects processor connected to my computer via USB which I use for multitrack recording and everything guitar-related and the USB digital audio from it works in any applications I have either with the standard WDM drivers or with ASIO or MME, etc. I'm wondering if Rocksmith will have a configuration option to select "GT Pro" as the audio input like I would in any other app, or if Ubisoft made it mandatorily require their special cable on purpose, but sell the package with it or without it in case you already have one bought separately?
