Stooner: PWYW ($1 for Steam):
Sid Meier's Civilization III Complete
Sid Meier's Civilization IV: The Complete Edition
Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol
Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies
Sid Meier's Railroads!
Be warned, the Civ 3 and Railroads do not work well in Windows 7 x64. Both of them list XP as requirements.
Civ 3 has font/dialog issues, where some things unclickable, and Railroads crashes constantly (both AMD and Nvidia video cards). Note: I have not tried the steam versions, these versions were retail boxes, patched from Firaxis. Not sure about the other games.

Interestingly, Pirates (the one they're not selling), runs just fine on Windows 7 x64.

Id hazard to guess Anno 2070 probably has Uplay like the rest. Havent seen the Steam version sold outside of steam stores

it's on 10% to 20% is not so uncommon these days for new games.
Gamesplanet quite often has smaller discounts for new games.

No i mean is the dlc essential to get the best experience or is the base game fine itself?

The main game has one single character class. Two of the DLCs provide one additional class each. If you're fine with playing the default class, you don't need those DLCs. The game has a rich system of skills and abilities, so even he default class can be skilled in multiple completely different ways.

The "Blue Blood" DLC provides new skills for a ghost that is your companion. I can't tell how important it is.

I have played the game a bit, and I found it fun. Gameplay is very generic for action RPGs, but I don't mind. The setting provides a fresh breeze, and the graphics are pretty good.

Still, you could wait until the "complete edition" goes on sale as well. It was on sale already some weeks earlier, I suppose it will go on sale again.

This sums it up nicely. If you're curious how it feels, it feels more like Diablo 3 than Diablo 3.

An rpg I never knew about, thanks for the link. (using the newly updated enhanced steam, I see a lucky ass country that all ways gets a base price reduction of 43%, I want to live there!)

edit: found out its Russia... man they games dirt cheap :(

If you're patient The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing will likely be cheaper in the future. If I recall correctly I paid about $7 US dollars for a complete edition including all DLC in a Steam flash deal during their Winter sale and I'd seen the base game cheaper before too (about $5 US dollars).
