Leucius: Checked Amazon's deals about an hour ago, nothing jumped out at me. Any thoughts/recommendations on How To Survive? I believe it's still on sale for 2.49 with the $5 promo. That's really the only thing I'm considering getting.
Everything I've seen says that the gameplay is great, it just lacks so heavily on story elements that it feels dull.

I'm one of those that enjoyed Xotic. For $2 especially, worth it.

Just watched the video for that and couldn't decide what I thought about it. Debated whether I should search for/start a thread asking for opinions about it. Now I lucked into at least one.

If you want a game grounded in reality, it's not for you :D It's quite odd.

I enjoyed the idea of combos, making shots count and so on. Plus the jump + holo platform idea was clever.

dyscode: the Steam Forum is not entirely negative, actually the game seems to have a rather solid fan base.
Thanks for the heads up :)

Yeah, realism clearly wasn't high on their goals list. I'm ok with that. I wasn't sure what I thought about the push-for-points thing and I was worried about achievements/100% pushing me to perfect runs for the levels when I might not care to spend that much time on them.

It did look neat though.
The Secret World is $5.19 on Amazon after EC coupon.

It's fun....it's just not a 'Survival' game.

It's like a more sophisticated Zombie/Alien Shooter / Shadowground

I used the same Amazon deal and wasn't disappointed.
