Are there any major differences between River of Time & Dark Eye? I've been playing Dark Eye since it came with Groupee's 8, so I am intrigued in River of Time but not if it's just a micro improvement.

RoT is a bit more streamlined, has stronger story elements and quite a bit better graphics. There are some differences between the UIs, but it feels a lot like the same game, just improved a bit.

Don't expect a radically different game, but it's certainly an improvement over the first.

Be sure to get it from a vendor who sells the DLC if you're interested in ever getting it. The DLCs are only compatible with the version you get (Gamersgate-Gamersgate, Steam-Steam). I got mine from Amazon, it's DRM free.
