carnival73: Not necessarily a 'deal' but does deserve announcement:

Vanguard Princess has apparently been localized for an English speaking audience and sitting pretty at $10 over at Gate: http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-VP/vanguard-princess
It's a deal now: 50% off.
Also on Sale on GG is STALKER Clear Sky for $3 DRM FREE.

The STALKER Call of Prypiat Loyalty Edition (if you already own the previous 2 games) is also on Sale for $3.34 but it uses Tagés DRM. so beware!

Also it's Commandos midweek, and games are 75% off.

Wow, awesome deal on Prototype and Prototype 2 on amazon. $10 for both is crazy cheap. I picked "mixed DRM" and wonder what that means.

is ist still as buggy as they say? Everything you read on the net is how terrible the ports to the PC are.

Yeah, and without Securom, too.
Screw it, I'd rather play Dong Dong Never Die... If only I could remember, which of the two archives I have is a complete, unbugged copy.

That... looks creepy. Some of the characters look like they are in their lower teens, and are dressed in rather skimpy outfits.

Great deal! But I don't like Steam. Hope there'll be something like this on GOG. I would pay more then that for just first 3 games.

It means Prototype 2 = Steam, Prototype 1 = not Steam, whereas the other option includes Steam codes for both.

I played P1 on the PC and it was an excellent port. Can't tell you anything about P2 yet.

If I'm not mistaken they are all DRM free.

This will mainly depend on three things for P1:
1 - Whether you have the sound fix that restores missing ambient sounds
2 - Whether you have HID-compliant devices (such as Logitech keyboards/mice) and have disabled them before playing
3 - Whether you have certain sound cards and have set Loudness Equalization

The above will generally get P1 running fairly well with one or two sound hitches in some cut scenes, perhaps intermittent slow down during game.

P2 on the other hand, is a lot more hit and miss. Ran perfectly for me on high settings when I first ran it. The next day, it didn't. I still can't get it running smoothly regardless of disabling HID, setting the game to lowest settings, etc. The Steam forums are also full of people with similar issues and no reliable fix.
I'll report back when I install them but I played Prototype off a disc before and had no problems.
