Looks like Anno 2070 is going up for sale tomorrow on GG, anyone know if they've removed the stupid DRM yet?

The DRM is part of the gameplay. It has some very intersting "meta elements" in that game which, imo, greatly enhance the gameplay. I don't know about the activation limits, but it now uses uPlay, which I like.

You sure it doesn't still use Tages OVER Uplay?

As I said, it now uses the uPlay client. No idea if it still has tages on top of that (although it wouldn't make sense).

It does. I own it from GG and it doesn't use UPlay (wouldn't have bought it if it did). It does use UPlay if you want multiplayer options but, as I don't, UPlay is a non-event for me.

BTW, this is what GG says about the UPlay component -

Yeah, I wasn't worried about UPlay. I deal with UPlay for Splinter Cell Conviction. It's just a social app that requires you to link games from it. If you launch from Steam, it's no more annoying than launchers like the one that comes up when you launch Dungeon Defenders.

Tages, however, I've read horror stories about it screwing up basic Windows functions, and I just don't want to risk it.
