TheWhiteRose: 75% off is amazing, but I sincerely hate Gamestop with a burning passion. And it's only for the first 100 people, so the deal will be gone in under 10 seconds..
to many people don´t have to work on friday noon as it seems ;)

Cleidophoros: If you had a %75 off coupon it would be 125% off and Gabe himself would bring 1,75€ to you personally.
avatar
Vitek: I'd like that. :-p

I get your point, you are right.
Well, you could easily limit the minimum price to free ;)
But then they could have given those games away for free in the first place. I would have preferred the coupons not to work on top of sales, but to be more attractive in the first place (-66%, -75%).

If you are talking about steam I agree. Letting the coupons apply to sales has created the perverse inventive that some people are hording their coupons hoping that steam will put the game on sale before the coupon expires. I've already had people insist that some games are really only worth pennies because when you combine the sale price with the coupon discount the game cost $1.25.

My own believe is that about two weeks before they all expire there is going to be this massive dump of steam coupons where people will be giving them away for free.

Combine that with people who think their games are worth 3x the sales value 2 hours after the sale ended and it's really quite pathetic these days yes.

Luckily there are traders out there with some decent trading practices as well.

Valve truly messed with the young ones minds, Steam Trading brought out the animal from people. If future generations will worship and the antichrist, and render the planet unhabitable, i blame Mr Newell and co.

Good one. :-)

Touche.

As I said in my initial post, I'm new to the trading game. Some people can't tell the difference between simple inexperience and malice, unfortunately. If such people would light a candle rather than curse the darkness life might be a better place.

I ended up with so much shit over the holidays I guess I don't need another deal for 6 months or so, in fact I might be busy until next Christmas.

Same here, I even have an untouched Skyrim, which will more than likely keep me occupied till ME 3 comes out.

The great sideeffect of this is, that whenever I want a new game, it's already out a few months and has dropped in price. :-)
I think I won't buy Solar. I have too many games and decided I won't buy more for some time. I bet it will be on sale again sometimes so I can wait.
Does someone want my 50% off coupon?
