bansama: , but the .com one has gone down
Too many preorder of Crusader Kings II ? :p
off topic :

PC Guru ( issue No. 2012. 2. ) free full game Oddworld: The Oddboxx
Is it just me or have gog's release gone down a little with regards to rpgs released. I mean we had some epic titles a while ago-toee, nox, bg 1 and 2. And now its been more games that are kind of meh. It might just be me as im a oldschool rpg fan, but still a lot of the rpgs that were released were not really good rpg releases imo. Gothic 3, lands of lore, might and magic 9.

Does anyone think that the rpgs lately havent been as much pure awesomeness as arcanum and betrayal at krondor?

GOG already has most of the best Rpgs ever made , so what would you suggest they release ??

summitus: This is almost a rpg because of the choices you get for indy-Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis

This is almost a rpg because of the choices you get for indy-Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. This is easily one of the best games ever made. Im surprised its not there. I M Mean is a great epic roguelike which as well should be on here.
The Avernum 1-3 series from the late 90s should be on here. Imo its the best rpg series made, but that can be judgemental.

I think it unlikely ( for the present anyway ) that we will see the Avernum Series here on GOG as they activley sell on their own website. Unless of course GOG do some kind of deal with them of course.

deathknight1728: Well that doesnt matter as i already own almost all avernums. However, the wizardry series-yup. A lot of the rpg games made later in the 90s paid homage to the wizardry series. That series should be on here even more than avernum, although for me thats hard to say.

ne_zavarj: Sorry Paradox , but who's going to preorder any of your upcoming games after Sword of the Stars II: Lords of Winter ?
LOL, again I show my rabid weirdness. I have waited over 5 years for Crusader Kings 2 (CK2) to come out, the first one was one of my favorite games. CK2 is the first game I ever preordered, EVER. I know I could have waited and got it cheaper in 6 months or less, but, I wanted to support Paradox for releasing this game, and the many other great games they have (almost all of which I got at least 66% off). Just because a few of their games are duds, doesn't mean most of them are. In fact, I throughly enjoy most of Paradox's releases, and have been following the creation of CK2 for over a year. In fact it is probably the only new game I will buy this year before it goes on a sale of at least 50% (for instance I'm still waiting to buy Skyrim).

So, if one is really into the type of games Paradox puts out, especially Europa Universalis, and the first Crusader Kings (obviously) one would definetly consider preordering this if they are able to. I am sure I am far from alone in this. Though I am well aware that the appeal of such games as CK2 is a relatively small gaming audience.

I too think the DLC stuff is a joke. A company shouldn't release DLC until at least a month or 2 after a game comes out in my view. To do so before, makes it obvious to everyone it is just a marketing ploy...They probably originally planned to include those features in the standard game, but, thought they would sell more by making them DLC. Well, didn't make me want to buy it more then I already did (maybe not possible anyway), and I thought it was going kinda low, but, that did not nor does not dimish my desire to play CK2 on Febuary 7th. Really I can't wait! And DRM Free! Paradox is still king of my map-strat desires. :D

Yes, definatly. I had great fun with it for maybe 6 hours. It has a nice "realistic" touch to it that reminds me of Black Hawk Down.
