Thanks, I just completed my first digital purchase from Amazon. I just used my own CC and the address of a friend's family that live in USA. Had I known that trick before and I'd have bought a lot of games from them.
So other than the downloader, how does Amazon manages DRM? Is it always publisher imposed DRM (or DRM Free) like GamersGate or do they have a standard DRM for most games?

They used to have a weird app that downloaded and activated the games and was DRM. Now they have switched to a simple downloader like Gamersgate though. So honestly I don't know for sure.

With Scratches it puts a simple exe file on your desktop that works with my ethernet cable unplugged. Maybe amazon has no DRM of their own anymore and it's up to publishers. They have no DRM on their music, so it's possible. If so they are my new favorite store.

Thanks. The game page doesn't say anything but the page you get when the order is complete said something like "this game can be installed on any number of PCs you own" so maybe that's their line for DRM-Free. I wonder if the Oddworld games are the same.

I notice on the Duke DLC it says "requires Steam activation" on the store page.
Just picked up Lara Croft Guardian of Light for $2 on Amazon digital. Activated on Steam just fine. These Xmas Amazon deals have been really great.

Me neither. No confirmation email, no verification email (from their website).

I ordered it about three hours ago and received no e-mail either (so I have not received the bundle's NSS5 code for now). The bundles might be selling well and their e-mails may be delayed.

There are many bundles this week, yet they still sell like hotcakes. It's amazing how much the latest Humble Bundle sold in 1 day.
