To be honest, this bundle I wont be buying.

Yeah, this is the first bundle I'm going to pass on as well. It's like a collection of genres I really can't get into at all.

Me neither, I don't really like the look of any of the games and it looks like you don't actually get the games until christmas eve?
..captain backwater. *cheap (I can't afford any other kind) laugh*
There was Vampyre story some day very cheap.. Like normal I was late and my e-mail was late.
Anyway, feels good to share.
Is 19.99 USD a good price for all of Guild Wars? Or can I get it on sale somewhere way cheaper if I wait?

http://www.amazon.com/Guild-Wars-Game-Year-Pc/dp/B0002BJQDY/ref=br_lf_m_409566_2_26_ttl?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&s=videogames&pf_rd_p=1339601382&pf_rd_s=center-5&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=409566&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0S56VWCG1YVQP2M76TBJ

Also, is that actually the complete collection?

Hawk52: In multiplayer the game changes to a roving band of hooligans beating defenseless zombies for the sport of it. It's almost unsettling the pack/destructive atmosphere that sets in when you realize you and three other buddies are curb stomping a poor zombie to death while laughing about it.
I thought they had severely dangerous areas that were meant only for groups, are these no challenge either?

Curious about this also.

Hawk52: It's not for everyone though. Every single NPC swears and many of them are highly annoying. And yeah, most quests are the "Go here, retrieve X, bring back" or "Go here, kill X, return" variants.

It's a solid "snack food" type game.
I doubt I would play it before I leave for a year of no modern gaming, so I'll probably leave it sit even for $20. Thanks all for the impressions though, I appreciate it.

I read over the store page and didn't see a list of its contents, but if you can then: Guild Wars had 4 games released, three standalone products and one expansion. So if the list has 4 games, it's complete.

No, it's not complete collection. You can get it on sale somewhere waaaay cheaper if you wait.

One can snag Guild Wars trilogy for 10 bucks if one is waiting for right sale. :)

Then this "one" is waiting. Thanks for the help. Do you have a link to the product that is "complete"?

Here's a link for the trilogy on Amazon.

Unfortunately, that doesn't contain the Eye of the North expansion, but that should be easy enough to find ;)

EDIT - Also, if you aren't dissuaded by Steam, they'll probably have it on sale when the Christmas sales start up for cheap. link

What Garugo said.

It doesn't include Eye of the North expansion but I find it to be very very very fun with bunch of mini games.

Also, keep in mind that Steam just gives you a CD key for each standalone expansion. Once you add it to your Guild Wars account, you can log into any client on any computer without running Steam.

Also, just to be totally clear, the game of the year box only includes Guild Wars Prophecies. You want the Guild Wars Trilogy, and then buy Eye of the North separately, or possibly some kind of complete collection.

NCSoft runs sales once in a while, so you could wait for that if you want. Here are the 4 parts you need: GW Prophecies, GW Factions, GW Nightfall, and GW Eye of the North expansion pack. IIRC, the cheapest route would be to buy the Trilogy and then EotN. The GOTY edition is NOT the Trilogy, just an old release with a couple bonuses. eBay sellers sometimes sell some keys at a discount -- I've bought two EotN keys there without any problems. (do NOT buy at a web merchant called offgamers.com, though -- last time they held my money hostage and demanded I send them my utility bill and driver's license for verification... those fucksticks)

IMO, GW offers so many hours of playtime that I consider full price at current rates to still be pretty dirt cheap, and you could play it as casual or hardcore as you want, as pve or pvp as you want, and as singleplayer or multiplayer-focused as you want. I've been going back to it every couple years to play for a couple months each time and still have soooo sooo much to complete it's not even funny.

Here's a listing I found of the different packages of the game here. The GOTY edition is definitely not complete as StingingVelvet said

Looks like the "Complete Collection" can be found at for $36.99, only 12 left. [url=http://www.walmart.com/ip/Guild-Wars-Complete-Collection-PC-PC-Games/14660281]Wal-mart is sold out online and near me, perhaps a store near you has it.
