Origin has a 40% off promo code only valid today "ADVENT".

Doesn't work for everything, unfortunatly.

Value of discount will be deducted from product list price at time of purchase. Offer valid only from purchases from Origin in UK. Offer valid only on PC Digital titles and excludes points, pre-orders, funds, timecards, Stars Wars the Old Republic, BF3, FIFA 12, Batman Arkham City, Saints Row The Third, Batman Arkham Asylum, The Lord of the Rings: War in the North, Bastion, Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition & Dead Rising 2.

Won't even work for the Saboteur, lol.

Mass effect is later this week we might get an offer on them then...

Works for me but, umm, 40% off is still about the same as normal dollar prices, so its not that big of a deal for us in Euroland.
Apparently EA/Origin sends out promo emails about these... ahem, "secret" offers, and for some reason they actually reveal them.

So, the first week consists of:
- the ADVENT code (that's today)
- buy NFS The Run and receive Carbon challenge pack, Most Wanted and Underground packs
- 40% off Crysis 2 (that's low compared to last week's sales when they had it at 50% off)
- 50% off the Sims 3 base game
- 50% off on all Harry Potter titles
- 50% off on DA2
- Mass Effect 2 for £5 - great deal

and more to come next week.

SirPrimalform: Even though I don't like Steam and resent the fact that the developers won't release it anywhere else... it's a great game. I just cracked it so I didn't have to run Steam to play. Can't wait for the update.
The Terraria update seems to be rather buggy and poorly optimized. A lot of people are reporting that the game now has serious performance issues, even when using the retro lighting option. I hope we won't have to wait too long until these problems get fixed.

Oh no! I'm assuming retro lighting is the original lighting because they've added something a bit like Minecraft's 'smooth lighting'?

Yes, I believe retro lighting is supposed to look like the lighting system in previous versions of the game. It doesn't seem to be implemented in the same way, however, since the game runs poorly even for people who didn't have any problems before.

Edit: Bug reports start appearing around page 4.

I was experiencing slowdown in the game. Turning the lighting to "trippy" which I think was the original lighting mode seems to have fixed it.

Who amongst you, GOGers, played it? Opinions?
