kavazovangel: Civilization V $7.5 @GamersGate http://bit.ly/tvKnyH

Sorry if this has been posted, but I just noticed that GG now charge me in dollars for some reason.
GG doesn't check your "payment location" using the right ip (or always working through the co.uk adress) you can change into dollars without a problem. And sometimes their "ip locator" has some hickups.

Cleidophoros: How does this amazon download thingy work exactly? Is there a client or something? to install or play?
its not a client. its a small program used to download and install the game. after installing, you can launch and play the game directly without the program.

Kurina: Any recommendations on this game? Looking for something new to poke around with and on a super limited budget, and this is somewhat tempting, but can't really make out if it is worthwhile from gameplay videos.
Everything I've seen and read indicates that it is "mediocre." According to metacritic's quote of PC Gamer, it's "fun but forgettable." If you are on a very limited budget then it might not be the best buy especially with all of the holiday sales happening or coming soon.

And after it downloads the files but before install you can copy the files from where it downloads them to(usually a folder in downloads or my documents folder) and keep them somewhere else in case you ever want to install again.
Anyone knows any issues with this Anthology? At $20, it seems too good to pass up.
I read somewhere that the Anthology version was missing some files necessary to mod the games correctly, is this true? Is it fixable?

csmith: Addition to my previous post, there is a $5 credit that will be given if you buy this game making it effectively $1 if you are able to use the credit in January.

I actually just finished that game a few weeks ago. Yes, it's worth 6 bucks (I paid 10 for the 360 copy). It can be a moderate challenge on the hard difficulty. It's basically lacks the polish you'd expect from a AAA title, which is fine because it's not. The combat is satisfying and there's a mix of puzzle levels and fighting levels (maybe 1/3). The main character (you) is rather dense as about 80% of the ending is so strongly foreshadowed and he still is clueless to the implications of the... well, clues.

I should note, through it all you will have a companion with you which you can switch to if you want. The companion switches throughout the story but the skill leveling system makes this no problem at all. The skill leveling system is vague at best but you'll quickly find that putting points where it seems natural works fine and the game gives you special boosts every level if you unlock chests so you're never without an essential skill to beat said level.

Honestly I had fun and you should be able to work your way through it in 10-15 hours, probably less on easy difficulties.

If you haven't played Arkham City and can afford it, you should play that. If you've been through your must plays for now, this game is a great weekend game.

Delixe: I enjoyed it. It has more in common with Tomb Raider than it does with a hack n' slash as the gameplay vids would have you believe. Vastly over-priced at launch but at those prices it's well worth a punt. Decent story and voice acting too.
Yeah one of the low budget titles that spent time on what low budget titles can be good at, the story. Even though the ending is predictable I wasn't insulted and enjoyed it.

I think it's an excellent deal if you haven't already played those games. I don't know about the modding issue but I will add this factoid. I have never got TOEE to work on my windows sever computer. I spent about three hours trying to get it to work and gave it up as not worth my time. I wonder if this new bundle pack has fixed such issues. It's the only thing that stops me from giving it a 100% rating.

So... can we buy a 'uk edition' game then? I was going to link the deal on a local dutch forum but given I couldn't even get to a page where it wasn't the 'UK' edition of the Sims 4 I wasn't going to bother.

You can buy anything from the GamersGate.co.uk site. I think the reason is that the company is EU based therefore they cannot force region restrictions within the EU due to EU laws.

Logged into UK store. Ordered, bought, downloaded, installed, played. Seems to work so far. Oh, and the manuals come in a variety of languages. "UK" seems more like a Euro version.

Allright then, thanks.

I was familiar with being able to buy from the UK version of gamersgate. But when a game specifically says 'Sim City 4 UK', that makes me doubt.
Mount and Blade pack is $10 on Amazon. Don't know if it's Steam redeemable or not. Is it any good? It looks interesting. Pack contains original game and Warband, but not Fire and Sword.
