Balazs: Hey guys, not sure if this is the correct thread for it, but I need some advice. There's only like an hour left on the dailies on Steam, and I have no idea if the Europa Universalis III deal is worth it.
EU3 Chronicles is the complete one, actually. It's missing only the Sprite Packs which can go to hell. EU3 Chronicles can be on sale at Paradox's own GamersGate which gives you a DRM-free installer, but I haven't seen it quite Steam-cheap yet. Was $7.50 for a while this summer.
Technical details aside, the game itself is quite complicated when it comes to diplomacy, while battles are automated strings of die rolls with modifiers. The scope and the tempo is highly dependent on the country you pick: Europe is in constant turmoil and mischief, while Native Americans can spend centuries doing literally nothing. There are mods expanding the nations selection and other things (like MEIOU).
No spectacular graphics, and if you had at least a week to think, I'd suggest reading some long AARs to get the idea of what can be done there.
