....Fishy.

There really isn't Securom or anything like that but the software is embedded and tied in with Fish's client..I don't think you can even back it up so if you get charged per byte downloaded don't go hauling down anything too big.

Having said that though most Fish titles are under a gig big - they're mostly Match Three and Hidden Object games.

Outside of GOG, your best chances of escaping too much DRM are via GamersGate and Get Games Go - neither site requires a client but they do associate the main setup executable with a small executable of their own forcing you to check in and sign in with base before it allows you to run the installer.

But it's a lite leash that can be easily broken and if GGG or GG ever went down in flames it would be extremely easy for them to offer a skeleton key to all of their games to remove dependency on that small executable.

Of course you would still be left subject to the publishers' DRM and a few games that I got from GG I had to chase down a NoCD crack because the developer was out of business and the publisher either didn't realize or no how to crack the DRM.

Fish's client doesn't feel any more clunky or intrusive than Steam's, my only concern is that if I were to take a time machine a decade into the future I would pretty much expect Valve to still be there....as for Fish....I'm not sure - they're similar competitor "Sandlot" has recently taken the fall.

Space of the Dead 2 for a bit less than 4 quid. That certainly came down in price fast!

Definitely worth it! But I guess a gampead is required for maxim fun.

Edit: Can be activated on Origin, for those who care.

Well, they have ONE Hidden Object games engine and just put new stories and Graphics on top of that.

But the "Drawn" series is actually a nice adventure with only a very faint sour aftertaste of Hidden Objects.

I haven't tried it yet. But it's supposed to offer much better PC support than last time around. Will report back in a bit as to whether this is true or not.

Is this with ORIGIN DRM, I guess?
The game plays a lot smoother than the first. Decent enough key binding options too. A lot better than the port of the first game at any rate.

Origin is not required, but optional. It has SecuROM online activation and release date check.
