I got several free games from beamdog and they are pretty good :)

I'm sure many of you already know this but I had never used beamdog before until someone mentioned it here. So I posted this in case someone like me did not know about them.


The games that were most interesting to me were :

Battle for Wesnoth - Fun Turn Based Strategy game with great music and crisp graphics.

UFO Alien Invasion - Very similar to XCOM with updated graphics.

Secret Maryo Chronicles - Like an HD Super Mario game.

OpenTTD - Clone of Transport Tycoon Deluxe.

They have many other free games too. If anyone has tried some of the others and they were good let me know. thanks

All Hearts Of Iron games 66% off on gamersgate.

If, like me, you don't own any of the HOI games on GG, the cheapest way to get the compete set (at least in the UK) is to get the Hearts of Iron complete pack for £7.19 (which includes HOI 3, the first expansion Semper Fi, a mini expansion Dies Irae and all the sprite packs AND HOI 1 + 2 and its expansions), and then pay £5.09 for HOI 3: for the motherland.

There is also the Hearts Of Iron 3 Collection for £15.28, but this, despite costing twice as much as the complete pack, does not have the original two hearts of iron games. Thought the first one is nothing to write home about, the second one is definitely worth having in your collection.

I've just started the game so I'm not sure how stable it is but there is a Lets Play on you tube and I watched a few of those and it looked liked it was working good.

I can't see the GTA game pages on GamersGate for some reason. Can anyone tell me if the GTA3 trilogy (III, Vice City, San Andreas) contains DRM?

I didn't buy it , so i dont know. Just posted for anyone who might be interested. After playing GTA3, i decided that i dont like these sandbox games and will never buy another.
