grviper: OK, GamersGate Spellforce Universe is pretty much DRM free. Backed up installation packages work, then you run the game with no BS popping up, and type in the serial in the main menu.
Great, gonna get it then. Already have the first package, but not the second. Funny, the whole is cheaper than each of its parts.
Kind of off-topic, but beside the sale it seems Nordic Games also dropped the list price of many games. I can't remember that some of the adventure games cost only 5€ before.

Question about regional restriction: Thanks to didimatic I see Black Mirror and Nibiru also on sale, but only for NA. When I use a proxy for buying them, can I access them later via my EU account?

Among this whole GG sale I definitely URGE you get this game. It´s a mix of mysterie, experiment gone wrong survival horror investigation adventure.
You will unlikely find another game like this. And in my book it got all the things right, though some keycode hunting in emails and similar stuff can get tedious.
It feels `realisitc´in a quite unnerving way, as you actually communicate from your side of the computer screen via the surveilance cameras with the the only survivor and help her escape. Great Game!
Can you tell me what languages are supported ? Is it English only of is French also included ?

Yes. Once a game is tied to your account, it's visible in your My Games section regardless of your location.

No French, just plain old English.

I THOUGHT to remember there was a option for subtitles and Interface but checking it in-game I cannot find anything.

Judging by the installer, the game options and the gameplay, it's English-only.

grviper: Schizm 2 - 3D Myst clone. Har-r-rd.

Cold Zero is something along the lines of ye olde Airborne Ranger, but more sneaky and detailed. You use point and click controls, but have only one character to order to. You buy guns and other equipment and go on missions where you do a lot of hiding and killing. Clothes color must match the environment for better camouflage. Guns can jam, can be rigged with scope and silencer, and sometimes allow the use of different types of ammo.
The character gains XP and has upgradeable skills. Anyway, get it.
Would get it, cause it looks like a lot of fun and the reviews are good.

What version is GG's Genesis Rising i.e. is it patched?
Kinda off topic but the latest patch for Battlefield Bad Company 2 removes the DRM.

And it's 2.6 GB!

grynn: And it's 2.6 GB!
That's to be expected with a cumulative patch TBH.

Thanks for the answer. I'll probably search for a French translation patch and buy it.

dnoelsmith: Note about Harbinger:

I posted this on the GamersGate Game Tutor also:

It's noted in the game System Requirements "Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP. NOT VISTA/W7!"

I did not see that until buying and attempting an install. I have W7 and of course, the GamersGate installer would not install. A message window popped up saying the game is not compatible on my OS.

Well, messages like that just make me a determined fella.

Knowing the trick on copying the installing batch/executable, I thought I could experiment.

This may take several tries of running the installer, but you must quickly lurk in the Harbinger install folder and copy/paste the setup.exe before it changes back to "launch". Make sure and "KEEP" your install files. Set the compatility to WinXP (service pack 3) for the setup-copy.exe and then click the "Run as Admin" check box. Click OK and double click the .exe. Voila! The game will install. Be sure and manually run the HarbingerCfg.exe in your game folder to set up the video and sound. Runs great.

dyscode: Please tell me/ us how you like the game. I was interested but gameplay did not look passable. BUt I like e.g. Space Hack and Chosen Well of Souls though.
I only played about 5 minutes after I got it to install, so I can't give a detailed review but, it held my interest and I will go back and spend more time with it. It's certainly more like Space Hack then Chosen Well of Souls. If you like Space Hack then I believe you'll like Harbinger.
