lightnica: That sounds exactly like a "cd keyseller" to me.
you are kidding right? a 'cd keyseller' is a company that trades in greymarket keys i.e. ones where you might get the game taken away and/or have your account banned.
Shop.to like gamersgate, direct2drive, and various others are AUTHORISED sellers of those keys and you don't face losing the game/your account using them.

I cannot vouch for the site under discussion but I agree with wodmarach's definitions of the terms. That's how I understand it too.

Delixe: It's that time of the year again. Football Manager 2012 Pre-order on Shop.to Download. £19.85 I pre-ordered Deus Ex: HR from them with no issue and I am EU. Trying to find out what DRM they have on it. I suspect it's Steamworks.
All Football Manager titles, from 2009 onwards, are Steamworks.

Actually no. FM2010 & 2011 were offered without Steamworks, they used Uniloc. Which was given a big thumbs up by reclaim your game so you know that DRM is bad.

Just curious, but do shop.to also provide a download for Steamworks games or just the key? Technically speaking, they should be providing both, even if most people are just going to whack the key right into Steam.

But it's that offering of the files for download that helps show that they are indeed an authorised seller (unlike some CD key sellers that tell you to torrent the game and link to a pirate copy).

For Steamworks game they provide only the key, for others key + link to installer (zstorm).

as said I believe its just the key (stored on your shopto.net account aswel)

not just an email with a code or shitty scan from a game box
I've never heard of this before. Looks like a lot of fun, and the best part is it's being distributed on most DD platforms. Nice stuff!
Puzzle Quest is 66% off on Steam. Get it, it's a great adventure/rgp/puzzle game!

The e-mail will contain a download link for Steam but the profile page doesn't. In the event a game doesn't use Steam they provide a download link.
I´m on the fence if I should by Sword of the stars: Complete collection. It´s on sale on Impuls, is it any good? I love 4X-games but I can´t decide if I should buy it or not. Need some feedback from people who have played it.
