I didn't even notice there was a Platinum one. Though here in the States, it's five bucks more. Still, if I do get, I'll go Platinum. Thanks for pointing it out. ;)

Dark Crusade is £4.99
Platinum pack (both of the above together) is £4.99.

However, Platinum is on a different page to the others.

Most of the individual Dawn of War 1/2/gold/platinum games are cheaper in the EU than the US, except for Retribution I think. One of the rare exceptions this franchise :)

Is DoW Platinum good for newcomers to the series? I have never play DoW series before.

That would be the best starter pack. Dawn of War, Winter Assault and Dark Crusade are good. The pack doesn't include Soulstorm but that one was a bit ropey.

KF is fun, well worth $3.74 but hard as hell.

It takes some leveling up to increase the odds of survival.

Is it playable alone or just in a team?

You can solo, the game scales enemy spawn numbers to the number of players. Might be harder, since there's no one to watch your back, but you can get most of your first combat levels in single player mode. Mind, there's no story as such, only different maps where everyone's trying to kill you.

Not buying this game at this price is a mistake unless you already own it. This game is truly awesome.
