F1ach: Actually Death (the character in DS2) reminds me alot of Raziel, with the cowl and the huge claw hands.

dyscode: Like it, guess I get this over Zombie Shooter 2. Already have L4D ;)

BTW: I did not see it mentioned here, yet so :

Alice -Madness Returns is £20 on GG.co.uk that´s 43% off.
(and contains the Remasterd 1st Alice, FAIK)
For PC, only the version that was sold as preorder from Origin contained the first Alice, the rest don't. For consoles, all versions contain it.

A what a shame! The 1st was a bit crudely made but great gameplay. Well the final fight sucked. I played it several times.

Also want to mention that the games from QuakeCon Package can be bought seperately at 25% discount.

namely like F3 New Vegas - Old World Blues DLC 25% off!
And F3 NV $15, 50% off
RCTW and Cthulhu DCOTE which are a rare case to get them as single bargain offer for $7.49.

There's quite a chance the Fallout games will go on sale at some point before sunday. So I'd wait on those if I were you.

Thing is I have ALL Falloout games expect Old World Blues and I have not finished
F3 yet, not to mentio the DLC, so there will be some time passing by until I get to F3 NV and their DLC (played the old ones several times years ago).
So am not in hurry, actually ;)

nmillar: Insta-buy! :)
avatar
gyokzoli: But it looks like you can download and install only once.
It's only a serial code for activation, so easy enough to back up! :)

The thing is, you get a little dowloader for your game, then it installs as it's downloading, so you never even get a proper installer to backup. Maybe there's something I overlooked?

warcry: One more title that haven't been mentioned here, costs 1.99 and activates on steam is Commander: Conquest of the Americas.
No I picked that one up myself, it actually appears to be DRM free. There is no serial/activation code.

Hmm... Then you probably can't activate any of those games except Magicka.

And i thought M&B: Warband multiplayer is steam only.

Atom Zombie Smasher just added to the humble indie bundle. Quite a fun game.

ShopTo offers are great, but it seems t me that it must be some kind of mistake like gamersgate, and with no backup...I'm not really interested.

And they have added it to our accounts if you activated it on steam...guys, you should seriously consider buying this even if you don't like indie games, just to support inititatives like this.

jesskitten: A friend of mine uses them exclusively for "demos" because the first 30 minutes of every/many games is free to play or something like that heh. (I'm not sure, something like that, just going by what he said, I haven't tried it nor looked up its details in that respect.)

But yeah, overall I haven't been super impressed. Haven't touched them other than to glance at their catalogue when it pops into my inbox every now and then.. they also have Darksiders sale going for $5 (try it free! zomg!) but probably not worth it compared to one of the other options out there.

jlg6184: Yeah, I was invited to their beta back in the day, thought it was a cool concept, until I realized it was a rental service, granted they do offer decent prices for said service, and they are great if you want to playtest a game to get a feel for if you will like it, but other than that, no deal there is good enough for me to consider using them, period.
Well I imagine they're useful for gaming on computers/laptops where you don't have or want to download/install huge files, or have decent but not good enough hardware for some newer games, you bypass per-machine activation DRM since you don't have to install them, and you can "permanently" buy access to individual games and those go on sale fairly often too, and they have their own hardware and stuff you can buy, but.. yeah. It's even more tenuous than say Steam, in that they can't even make the promise you'll still have access if the service ever closes down since they don't have a downloading framework in place.. Agreed mostly. I think I still have a couple free games on there that they were giving away some time ago though. Like two. Don't remember which two. :P

mefet: Grrrrr I already activated mine on steam, so I'll have to download it manually as it doesn't let me reactivate
It will be added to your account. You dont have to put the code in again. :)
