Delixe: Nah I can only confirm Deus Ex: HR is a Steam code. Magicka will be as well but the other Paradox games likely use some other downloader. I just thought I would mention them as anyone unsure about the download service can try it out with those cheaper titles.

gyokzoli: I just bought Europa Universalis 3 Complete (it was only 2 GBP). The code is not a Steam code and the download comes from ztorm.net. I know nothing about this service.
Seems like all Paradox games (even complete collections, like EU3) are selling at £1.99 over there... very tempted.

F1ach: Thats correct, DS2 concerns Deaths story and the events of DS2 occur within the same time frame as DS1. I'm sure the basic mechanics will re-appear, with combat/platforms and puzzles, just different animations/weapons.
avatar
nagytow: Yes, but considering the ending of D1, wouldn't you rather see what happened next? I'm sure D2 will be great (although a bit weird as I thought that only War was summoned) but I just want to see all 4 in action.
Thats correct, only War was summoned, Deaths game takes place concurrently, afaik he does become aware of wars predicament. maybe as the series progresses with the other two horsemen, all their stories with intersect or something, but it cant happen soon enough for me :)

Yeah, but make sure you buy EU3 Chronicles, since the Complete version (which I foolishly bought) is not really complete).

I'm planning to. Already have it in my cart. Looking at Warband too, not sure if it activates in Steam though.

Oh the one game that isn't for £2 is Supreme Ruler: Cold War. Still, $3.5 for just about any Paradox game is an exceptional deal.

It got automatically installed and I can't redownload it? :(

That's freaking bad. I did not try to download and install it yet, so I cannot comment.

But it looks like you can download and install only once.

jlg6184: I am so fed up with OnLive. I honestly don't see how they are still in business at this point.
A friend of mine uses them exclusively for "demos" because the first 30 minutes of every/many games is free to play or something like that heh. (I'm not sure, something like that, just going by what he said, I haven't tried it nor looked up its details in that respect.)

But yeah, overall I haven't been super impressed. Haven't touched them other than to glance at their catalogue when it pops into my inbox every now and then.. they also have Darksiders sale going for $5 (try it free! zomg!) but probably not worth it compared to one of the other options out there.

All Mount and Blade games activates on steam, even newest With Fire and Sword.
One more title that haven't been mentioned here, costs 1.99 and activates on steam is Commander: Conquest of the Americas.

But you can activate it on Paradox forums and have a badge of proof that you own the game :p

Yeah, I was invited to their beta back in the day, thought it was a cool concept, until I realized it was a rental service, granted they do offer decent prices for said service, and they are great if you want to playtest a game to get a feel for if you will like it, but other than that, no deal there is good enough for me to consider using them, period.

Not the copy I have on GMG (Warband), and I'd much rather have it on Steam.

My D2D version of Warband doesn't register on Steam either.

dyscode: Soulreaver - now you got me hooked!

F1ach: Actually Death (the character in DS2) reminds me alot of Raziel, with the cowl and the huge claw hands.
Like it, guess I get this over Zombie Shooter 2. Already have L4D ;)

BTW: I did not see it mentioned here, yet so :

Alice -Madness Returns is £20 on GG.co.uk that´s 43% off.
(and contains the Remasterd 1st Alice, FAIK)
